Simulation Based Interpretation and Recent Trends on Performance Analysis on ...ijtsrd
The heat transfer system is of great importance in many commercial and domestic applications. Likewise, IC engine always maintained at the working temperature for good ex. The improper generation distribution of temperature affects the performance and reduces the efficiency of the engine hence to the vehicle automobile. The performance of automobile Radiators can be substantially improved by a number of augmentation techniques. Heat transfer can be increased by active and passive flow control techniques or either with the incorporation of Nanofluids. As in order to remove the excess temperature, we need some cooling system in the automobile. The cooling system can be of two types Air and Water cooling system. Air cooling system is generally used in two wheelers and airplanes. The air directly takes the heat from the surface of the engine through the fins available on them. In the water cooling system, a water jacket is provided around the engine which carries the heat of the engine and releases this heat to the atmosphere with the help of a component called a radiator. The radiator basically consists of the upper tank, lower tank, tubes, fins, thermostat, the inlet port and outlet port, pressure cap. In the present work, Simulation Based Interpretation and Performance Analysis on Automobile Radiator through NanoParticle Fluids on modeled setup will be done trying to incorporate the condition of the automobile by using Nanoparticle fluids of Al2O3 and CuO. Water will also be taken to compare the performance of the Nanofluids. Results of numerous experimental and Ansys CFD solvers will be illustrated. An approach to evaluate the heat exchanger retrofit for installed industrial ...eSAT Journals
Abstract This paper is the first part of a two-part study aiming to introduce a new integrated approach to evaluate the techno-economic value of recuperator retrofit on existing gas turbine engines. The original gas turbines are designed for combined cycles so that the pressure ratios are moderate to secure suitable exhaust temperatures. One way to enhance the thermal efficiency of some gas turbines is by using recuperation to recover some of the exhaust heat. In this part, the developed model is described and implemented for two gas turbine engines so the obtained characteristics are evaluated against the actual data. The new approach will assist users to select the suitable gas turbine models with favorable recuperator characteristics based on a technical and economic prospective. Besides, the performance results are used to design an appropriate shell and tube heat exchanger. Moreover, a new technique has been established to define the typical heat exchanger parameters in order to ensure the highest possible improvements over the original cycles. One of the main features of this method is that it depends only on the velocity of hot and cold heat exchanger streams from which the rest of the heat exchanger design and performance characteristics were derived. Key Words: integrated approach, techno-economic value, recuperation, shell and tube heat exchanger, velocity
Estimation of Cooling Load Calculations for a Commercial Complexijtsrd
In this project we discussed the cooling load calculations for a commercial building by using revit software Window air conditioners, split air conditioners are used in small buildings and offices etc but in big buildings and commercial complex we use central air conditioning systems this systems are installed far away from the buildings. The cooled air is supplied to the building with the help of ducts. When ducts are not properly designed, then it will lead to problem such as frictional loss, higher installation cost, increased noise and power consumption. For minimizing this problem, a proper design of duct is needed. Equal friction method is used to design the duct it gives the comparison of pressure drop in rectangular duct and circular duct. Central air conditioning is more reliable for easy operation with a lower maintenance cost. Cooling load items such as, people heat gain, lighting heat gain, infiltration and ventilation heat gain can easily by using REVIT SOFTWARE. The programme can also be used to calculate cooling load due to walls and roofs. And results were compared with the standard data given by ASHRAE and CARRIER. The RULE OF THUMB method is used to calculate the heat developed in the rooms. These methods are used for lower power consumption capital cost and improve aesthetics of building I. S. N. V. R. CFD Simulation of Air Conditioning System of the Classroomijtsrd
We have focused on the design and modifications of air cooling duct system using Computational Fluid Dynamics CFD considering all air flow patterns affecting the system efficiency. Necessary tools and methods are applied for efficient designing. The different load conditions and the layout of the duct system need to be very accurate because if any deviation will result to problems like uneven cooling, frictional losses, increased noise and vibrations and also more power consumption. The above problems highlight the importance for optimizing the duct design to obtain desired flow conditions. Our work involves use of theoretical and software tools to get a detailed comparative analysis of the costs and benefits involved in selecting a particular shape rectangular or circular for the duct according to the working conditions. The focus of this paper rests on using psychrometry chart to calculate the cooling load and other parameters. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Sustainable Energy by Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Sadikuijtsrd
Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. The paper addresses the issue of sustainable energy, its attendant benefits to the future generation, and humanity in general. Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Concepts for Sudan Survey Act Implementations Executive Regulations and Stand...ijtsrd
This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. In the last few decades, there has been a growing awareness of the importance of geomatics activities and measurements on the Earths surface in space and time, together with observing and mapping the changes. In such cases, data must be captured promptly, standardized, and obtained with more accuracy and specified in much detail. The paper will also highlight the current situation in Sudan, the degree to which survey standards are used, the problems encountered, and the errors that arise from not using the standards and survey specifications. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

M. Hegar examines how to verify experimentallywhether an
air conditioning system meets design and comfort
requirements. An experimental study was conducted on a
prototype bus and was tested when driving on the Adana-
Ceyhan highway in Turkey. The internal and external
temperatures, evaporator inlet and outlet temperaturesand
relative humidity values were measured. Thermalsensation
values were calculated by using empirical correlationsgiven
by ASHRAE [1].
Kutlu C Studied theoretical investigation of two-evaporator
ejector refrigeration system was carried out using R134a
and alternative refrigerants. The relative increase in COP
with respect to the conventional refrigeration system was
analyzed. Also, exergy analyses of systems were examined,
and results were showed.[2]
Paul Maina investigated the influence of variables such as;
refrigerant amount, chilling and cooling water temperature,
throttle valve opening, cooling and chilling water flow rates,
on the efficiency of a water to water carbon dioxide heat
pump. It was observed that cooling water temperature had
the highest influence followed by the chilling water
temperature. Surprisingly, theamountof therefrigerantwas
third followed by the throttle valve opening.
Understandably, chilling water flow rate had the least effect
on the COP [3].
J. Brusey proposed that energy-efficient vehicle comfort
control as a Markov Decision Process, which is then solved
numerically using Sarsa and an empiricallyvalidated,single-
zone, 1D thermal model of the cabin.Theresultingcontroller
was tested in simulation using 200 randomly selected
scenarios and found to exceed the performance of bang-
bang, proportional, simple fuzzy logic, and commercial
controllers with 23%, 43%, 40%, 56%increase,respectively
[4].
Solmaz O studied the Artificial Neural Networks method for
prediction hourly cooling load of a vehicle. For ANN model,
seven neurons determinate as input signals of latitude,
longitude, altitude, day of the year, hour of the day, hourly
mean ambient air temperature and hourly solar radiation
were used for the input layer of the network. One neuron
producing an output signal of the hourly cooling load was
utilized in the output layer [5].
III. METHODOLOGY
The given process is followed in basis of calculation of load
calculation
A. Collection of the required meteorological data:
meteorological data for calculation A typical
meteorological year (TMY) was created and the hourly,
monthly and annual values of solar radiation processed.
B. Cooling load calculation:Determinewhatkindof cooling
and how much of cooling needed.
C. Design and sizing of the air conditioning system: Using
the weather data, and the selecteddesign conditions, the
components of the system could be sized.
D. Optimization of the system: The aim was to use least
cost energy, so the designed system was optimizedwith
that in mind.
E. Material procurement and construction of the
experimental system: Once the system had been
optimized, the components were procured, and the
system was constructed and tested.
F. Performance evaluation and economic analysis: The
energetic and economical effectiveness of the system
was evaluated. The life cycle costs for solar cooling
system were calculated and competitiveness with
regards to price and thermal efficiency for domestic
applications determined. g) Analysis of results and
making of recommendations:Theresultswere analyzed,
andnecessaryimprovements recommended. Options for
improving technical effectiveness and economic
competitiveness were suggested. Ways of improving
research and development efforts in this field were also
investigated.
We consider a lumped model of a typical vehicle cabin. The
net heat gain by the cabin can be classified under nine
different categories. The total load as well as each of these
loads can either be positive (heating up the cabin) or
negative (cooling down the cabin) and may depend on
various driving parameters. In the following, the models
developed for each of these load categories are presented
and discussed. Some of the correlations used in the present
model are based on experiments performed on certain
vehicles, which are used here for general validation of the
model. New correlations can be readily plugged into the
present model can be tailored to any new vehicle, after
specifying those correlations for the case.
