- #12 Here is another example where we can reduce TCO by comparing a smaller data center that wants to build out 11 petabytes of storage. When using a 2Ux12 configuration… 11 petabytes of storage will require 8 Racks of 6TB air hard drives, as shown in black. However, if you use the He8, you only require 6 racks. In this configuration, you will be using 60% less power … and 25 percent less space. And that means 25 percent less racks, cables, and other maintenance items
