DataCore Software introduction from my "Meet DataCore" webinar. DataCore products include software-defined storage and hyperconverged infrastructure solutions. Datacore has more than 10K customers and 30K+ implementations world-wide.
Data analytics, Spark, Hadoop and AI have become fundamental tools to drive digital transformation. A critical challenge is moving from isolated experiments to an organizational or enterprise production infrastructure. In this talk, we break apart the modern data analytics workflow to focus on the data challenges across different phases of the analytics and AI life cycle. By presenting a unified approach to data storage for AI and Analytics, organizations can reduce costs, modernize their data strategy and build a sustainable enterprise data lake. By anticipating how Hadoop, Spark, Tensorflow, Caffe and traditional analytics like SAS, HPC can share data, IT departments and data science practitioners can not only co-exist, but speed time to insight. We will present the tangible benefits of a Reference Architecture using real-world installations that span proprietary and open-source frameworks. Using intelligent software-defined shared storage, users are able to eliminate silos, reduce multiple data copies, and improve time to insight.PALLAVI GALGALI, Offering Manager,IBM and DOUGLAS O'FLAHERTY, Portfolio Product Manager, IBM
Using real time big data analytics for competitive advantageAmazon Web Services
Many organisations find it challenging to successfully perform real-time data analytics using their own on premise IT infrastructure. Building a system that can adapt and scale rapidly to handle dramatic increases in transaction loads can potentially be quite a costly and time consuming exercise.
Most of the time, infrastructure is under-utilised and it’s near impossible for organisations to forecast the amount of computing power they will need in the future to serve their customers and suppliers.
To overcome these challenges, organisations can instead utilise the cloud to support their real-time data analytics activities. Scalable, agile and secure, cloud-based infrastructure enables organisations to quickly spin up infrastructure to support their data analytics projects exactly when it is needed. Importantly, they can ‘switch off’ infrastructure when it is not.
BluePi Consulting and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are giving you the opportunity to discover how organisations are using real time data analytics to gain new insights from their information to improve the customer experience and drive competitive advantage.
Unstructured data is growing at a staggering rate. It is breaking traditional storage and IT budgets and burying IT professionals under a mountain of operational challenges. Listen as Cloudian and Storage Switzerland discuss panel-style discussion the seven key reasons why organizations can dramatically lower storage infrastructure costs by deploying a hardware-agnostic object storage solution instead of sticking with legacy NAS.

Semiconductor design companies, electronic design automation (EDA) vendors, and foundries remain competitive by innovating and reducing time to market. AWS is deeply invested in semiconductor use cases, including EDA, emulation, and smart manufacturing, including data lake and IoT/AI. We care about this because Amazon depends on faster semiconductor innovation from our suppliers and in our own silicon teams. We have a wide breadth of services that will directly benefit the entire industry. In this session, learn how to achieve the maximum possible performance and throughput from design and engineering workloads running on AWS. We demonstrate specific optimization techniques and share architectures to accelerate batch and interactive workloads on AWS. We also demonstrate how to extend and migrate on-premises, high performance compute workloads with AWS, and use a combination of On-Demand Instances, Reserved Instances, and Spot Instances to minimize costs. Learn how semiconductor customers address security as they move to the cloud as they discuss the AWS capabilities and controls available to secure sensitive design IP and offer strategies for data classification, management, and transfer to third parties.
Webinar: Enterprise Trends for Database-as-a-ServiceMongoDB
Two complementary trends are particularly strong in enterprise IT today: MongoDB itself, and the movement of infrastructure, platform, and software to as-a-service models. Being designed from the start to work in cloud deployments, MongoDB is a natural fit.
Learn how your enterprise can create its own MongoDB service offering, combining the advantages of MongoDB and cloud for agile, nearly-instantaneous deployments. Ease your operations workload by centralizing your points for enforcement, standardize best policies, and enable elastic scalability.
We will provide you with an enterprise planning outline which incorporates needs and value for stakeholders across operations, development, and business. We will cover accounting, chargeback integration, and quantification of benefits to the enterprise (such as standardizing best practices, creating elastic architecture, and reducing database maintenance costs).

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
