The seventh largest auto maker in the world with the Kokomo area responsible for the
machining and assembly of 80% of all FCA US transmissions.
Business Unit Leader
Ensures all workers have a safe environment to perform in while making the build schedules.
Train and coach all employees to be self-sufficient by utilizing proven problem solving tools.
Analyze budget, autonomous maintenance, professional maintenance, and focused
improvement activities. Report out to senior staff, directors, and vice presidents on current
status and projected improvements. Lead project improvements in highest cost areas to inform
and focus teams on cost reductions.
- Reduced budget requirements of department by 1.5M by stratifying losses and
attacking the highest first.
- Focus on losses improved through put by 10% during last 18 months.
- Launched 3rd phase of production without addition of any manpower by improving

2. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE CONT.
Tool & Die Maker - Indiana – 1986 - 1998
Worked 14 years in tool & die at various job shops. Primary apprenticeship training performed
at Ken-Bar Tool & Engineering. Requirements included lathe, milling, grinding and assembly of
die details, completed from blue prints. Worked closely with engineering to document
necessary changes and design flaws. Secondary function was also to support production
departments with CNC programing and proto type development.
Indiana Army National Guard – 1985 - 2008
Assigned to launch the newly formed 190th POL Battalion. Prepare all Soldiers and staff for
deployment in a 3 year time frame.
Command Sergeant Major
Primary advisor to the commander on all issues of training, physical fitness, leader
development and over all readiness of the Soldiers assigned.
- Advise the commander at all times on current state of Soldiers.
- Develop, implement, & evaluate training plans for each mission.
- Ensure all Soldiers prepared for mission.
- Report health & safety concerns to commander
