2. Education
*Department supervisor for pickling line, barrel line, slug shot blaster and rod shot blaster
*RESPONSIBILITIES* -Review production schedules to ensure material was available to meet
customer requests. Review and update work instructions and training modules through the
engineering change request. Reconcile and manage process change notices while obtaining a
high quality and production rate. Implement 'stop, call, wait' to these departments to
minimize down time, non-conforming material and to ensure that management as well as
engineering was aware of any process changes needed to hold the integrity of our product.
Ensure that all specifications are conforming with all machinery including pickling crane,
boom truck, fork lift, temperatures in both pickling and barrel lines and media in both slug
and rod shot blasters. Inspect, repair or replace any dangerous equipment to ensure a safe and
hazard free work area.
*General foreman for cold forming and press departments *RESPONSIBILITIES* -Review
customer specifications/drawings and layouts; review tooling and material availability to
ensure down time is minimal. Host daily production meetings with upper management,
engineering and quality control to relay previous day production numbers, issues and
implement counter measure to eliminate future occurrences. Update 'internal
non-conformance' records to show counter measures and their effectiveness for future
references. Integral part of customer communications and satisfaction. Host customer visits,
administer product presentations, coordinate hands-on activities to ensure that "continuous
improvement" is standard protocol.
*Lead scheduler/production supervisor *RESPONSIBILITIES* -Review customer orders
through Navision ERP system and prepare production schedules for cold forming, press and
barrel line departments. Review six month customer forecast to allocate material to
designated machines, distinguish production amount and time to complete production to
ensure on time delivery of quality products. Maintain a healthy flow of material to ten cold
form machines, six vertical presses and one barrel line operation. Continuous interaction with
customers and outsource locations such as Toyota Automotive, Denso Manufacturing,
Akebono Brake Systems, as well as many support organizations such as product platers, heat
treaters, shot blasters and machinery groups. Develop and implement capacity information
worksheets to ensure that each machine is not over capacity yet very competitive in
comparison to other machines internally. Integral part of leading a manufacturing group to
numerous awards for on time delivery and no non-conforming material for customers.
Responsible for maintaining the inventory and production on the largest cold form machine in
North America.
*Press operator/group leader *RESPONSIBILITIES* -Follow production schedules to provide
quality product to satisfy customer requests. Operate vertical presses, maintain them to
minimize down time. Order material for department such as tri-wall boxes, cardboard
spacers for product packaging and cutting oil and hydraulic fluid to maintain presses and
ensure they are in good working order. Establish tool life information and record tool life for
pre-mature breakage or exceeding expectancy. Integral part of the engineering testing group
to develop new products and to assist in any changes necessary to produce a quality product.
