parts of Africa characterized by ethnic conflict while other parts remain relatively calm?
The conventional understanding on the causes of civil war especially within African countries, to a
considerable degree, has being predominantly characterized to draw its root on ethnic divergences.
However, such premise appear extremely difficult to be true, owing to the fact that civil war is a
complex action and requires the interplay of different variables to make it visible. Nonetheless, the
role of ethnic differences in determining civil war cannot be overemphasized. But generalizing ethnic
differences as a prime factor that result to civil war sounds unreasonable irrespective of what the
actors pretend or claim to have motivated them. For instance, all most every country in Africa is multi

The Human Pancreas Is An Organ Of Both Endocrine And Exocrine
The human pancreas is an organ of both endocrine and exocrine function in regulating blood sugars
and aiding in digestion respectively. About 95 percent of the human pancreas is made of exocrine
tissue and the remaining of endocrine. In exocrine glands, secretions flow through ducts into a body
cavity, such as the nasal passage or urinary tract, rather than directly into the circulation of the
bloodstream, which is a characteristic of the endocrine pancreas.
The exocrine pancreas is split into two major substituents, the acini and the duct system, each
comprised of intralobular and interlobular components.

These epithelial cells protrude short microvilli from their surface, which contain an abundance of
secretory granules, secreting fluids, which make up the majority of pancreatic juices. Epithelial cells
found in the main pancreatic duct are analogous in structure to those of the interlobular ducts. Both
sections of the duct system have thick, collagenous walls. Leakage prevention of the duct system is
carried out by the Zonula Occludens intercellular tight junctions between the duct and acinar cells.
The pancreatic duct, also known as the duct of Wirsung, connects the pancreas to the bile duct. Hence,
allowing the pancreatic juices to be transported to the gall bladder to fuse with bile, aiding in digestion
and neutralization of gastric acids.
In the case of the exocrine glands, secretions consist of aqueous mixtures. Enzyme secretion in the
pancreas is stimulated by the vagus and a hormone called pancreozymin, which is formed when it is
exposed to proteoses or peptones. The pancreas releases 1000 to 1500 ml of pancreatic juice into the
pancreatic duct each day. Secretions of the pancreas consists of two principal constituents, an alkaline
fluid and enzymes such as lipase, protease and α amylase that are necessary for digestion of fats,
proteins and carbohydrates in vertebrates respectively. Other enzymes present include trypsin,
chymotrypsin and colipase.

Why I Am A Bad Writer
From the time I was in about fourth or fifth grade I began to dislike certain subjects in school. I
loathed everything about writing assignments. I didn t write at home before that the thought of writing
for myself never really occurred to me. I hated the deadlines the length requirements and I just tried to
get them done and had no intention of writing well because I told myself I was a bad writer. I have
never really known whether or not I truly am a bad writer. I continued these habits of just writing
something down to get a decent grade all throughout school. I usually got an okay grade because I
followed the prompt closely and did the minimum amount of work for the paper. I didn t start the
assignments until either the night before it was due. As I got older I would type the paper on my phone
in school that day then print it off in the library moments before class. I continued writing in that
awful ritual of complacency until the end of 11th grade. We had to write a paper on The Great Gatsby
a book that I never read. I read couple of notes on the internet and then wrote the paper and never
reread it or edited it all. I did my usual routine and followed the prompt and turned my paper in. When
I got my paper back I was shocked to find out I didn t get even a half decent grade I was given a zero.
I went to my teacher after class to speak with him about the grade and he told me I got the grade that I
deserved. He said I was lazy and never tried to truly work in

Oliver Twist By Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens, the author of Oliver Twist. Charles Dickens was born on February 7th, 1812 in
Landport, England, and then died on June 9th, 1870 in Kent, England. In his 58 years of life he made a
collection of books that are still famous today; although it was not until 1836 that he started to come to
fame when he published The Pickwick Papers. One of the many books he published was Oliver Twist
and this story was one that he related too, because like this story Dickens had little education as a

Music programs throughout the United States are making quite the hurrah, and yet seem to never be
heard by the classmates and staff that walk the same halls as them. The lack of appreciation of the
music and arts programs throughout America is astonishing, and heartbreaking to many of the
students, parents, and staff that are involved with them. There are more than a few causes that can be
held responsible, however the main three are a lack of funding, lack of support from administration
and staff, and the lack of equal support amongst students involved in different activities, such as
sports, clubs, and music programs, all of which have led to a decrease in student participation in

Sullivan married in 1905 to John Macy and she began suffering ill health in 1914. Keller hired a
young Scottish woman named Polly Thomson to help around the house. She eventually became Keller
s secretary and another close friend. When Keller moved to Anne Sullivan Macy s new house in
Forest Hills, Queens, she converted her former house into the cite of her work or the American
Foundation for the Blind. Anne died from a coma after falling ill in 1936. Thomson and Keller then
