Executive Summary
With the ongoing worldwide pandemic, live events will be the last industry to return. Throughout this year, artists have become
more creative in the way they give their fans content. Through social media, artists have been “going live” on Instagram,
Facebook, and on livestreaming platforms. Furthermore, some artists have become even more creative by performing a live
concert for fans through livestreams. Artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, John Legend, Keith Urban, and Diplo have all performed
live shows for their fans through a livestream platform (Peisner, 2020).
Niall Horan released his second debut album on the day the world shut down. Due to this, he was not able to engage in
interviews, promotional performances, and tour this new album. The lack of media coverage and in-person fan interactions left
Niall with an album that didn’t chart as well as expected. Fans missed out on the opportunity to hear his album live in concert and
with that, left disappointment and disconnection from this album’s era. The goal of this livestream event is to not only give fan
interaction but also engage the media to promote Niall’s second album, Heartbreak Weather.
Heartbreak Weather Watch Party will be an interactive livestream show featuring Niall himself. This livestream will act as a re-
release album party for his album, with interviews, performances, and exclusive content. Fans will have the opportunity to buy
tickets to the livestream to feel a sense of normalcy of seeing their favorite artist. Meet and greet tickets held on Zoom will also
be available for fans to purchase. The livestream will be held in a small, local venue to bring a sense of concert normalcy to the
viewer’s screen. Radio hosts and TV personnel will be hired to be a part of the livestream while also promoting this event. The
livestream can be streamed through a platform such as Twitch, YouTube, or Zoom. The Heartbreak Weather Watch Party will
promote fan engagement between Niall and his fans as well as bring back attention to Niall’s album released earlier this year.

  • 3. Executive Summary With the ongoing worldwide pandemic, live events will be the last industry to return. Throughout this year, artists have become more creative in the way they give their fans content. Through social media, artists have been “going live” on Instagram, Facebook, and on livestreaming platforms. Furthermore, some artists have become even more creative by performing a live concert for fans through livestreams. Artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, John Legend, Keith Urban, and Diplo have all performed live shows for their fans through a livestream platform (Peisner, 2020). Niall Horan released his second debut album on the day the world shut down. Due to this, he was not able to engage in interviews, promotional performances, and tour this new album. The lack of media coverage and in-person fan interactions left Niall with an album that didn’t chart as well as expected. Fans missed out on the opportunity to hear his album live in concert and with that, left disappointment and disconnection from this album’s era. The goal of this livestream event is to not only give fan interaction but also engage the media to promote Niall’s second album, Heartbreak Weather. Heartbreak Weather Watch Party will be an interactive livestream show featuring Niall himself. This livestream will act as a re- release album party for his album, with interviews, performances, and exclusive content. Fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets to the livestream to feel a sense of normalcy of seeing their favorite artist. Meet and greet tickets held on Zoom will also be available for fans to purchase. The livestream will be held in a small, local venue to bring a sense of concert normalcy to the viewer’s screen. Radio hosts and TV personnel will be hired to be a part of the livestream while also promoting this event. The livestream can be streamed through a platform such as Twitch, YouTube, or Zoom. The Heartbreak Weather Watch Party will promote fan engagement between Niall and his fans as well as bring back attention to Niall’s album released earlier this year.
