  6. Η τεχνολογία όμως προχωράει. Τα 3G connected και τα self-driving αυτοκίνητα είναι πραγματικότητα αλλά όχι ακόμα διαθέσιμα στη μάζα.   7. Κι όσο κι αν σκεφτόμαστε το μέλλον, δρούμε στο παρόν, και εδώ είχαμε να αντιμετωπίσουμε πολλαπλές προκλήσεις
  8. Έπρεπε να μάθουμε να αναγνωρίζουμε και να ξεχωρίζουμε την πληροφορία που μας έδινε το κινητό. Να εντοπίζουμε τα απότομα συμβάντα (φρεναρίματα, επιταχύνσεις), τη χρήση κινητού, να καθαρίσουμε το θόρυβο που προκαλείται από τις κινήσεις του κινητού μέσα στο αυτοκίνητο, και φυσικά πάνω απ’ όλα να μπορούμε να αναγνωρίσουμε πότε ο χρήστης ήταν οδηγός και πότε συνοδηγός ώστε να κρατάμε μόνο τις δικές του διαδρομές προς αξιολόγηση. We had to gather and understand the data we need from its sensors and detect harsh events, as braking, accelerating and cornerings. Recognise driver distraction, texting and talking on the phone and CLEAR THE NOISE produced from the movements of the phone inside the car. And of course the holy grain, DRIVER PASSENGER recognision in order to keep just the valid trips that correspond to the driver we monitor

Στη συνέχεια έπρεπε να δημιουργήσουμε ένα έξυπνο μοντέλο βαθμολόγησης το οποίο να λαμβάνει υπόψη την υπέρβαση ταχύτητας, τη συχνότητα των απότομων συμβάντων ανάλογα με τον τύπο δρόμου αλλά και την ταχύτητα, τις καιρικές συνθήκες, τι επικίνδυνες ώρες και τη απόσπαση προσοχής και μετά να μετατρέπει αυτή τη βαθμολογία, αυτό το σκορ σε μια μέτρηση οδηγικού κινδύνου. Following that we had to develop a sophisticated scoring model that takes into account speeding, harsh events frequency based on road type and speed, weather conditions, risky hours and driver distraction and transform this score to a driving risk metric.
  10. Όμως η μεγαλύτερη πρόκληση που είχαμε και έχουμε να αντιμετωπίσουμε, είναι να αλλάξουμε τη φιλοσοφία των οδηγών. Πρέπει όλοι να καταλάβουμε πόσο σημαντικό είναι να είμαστε συγκεντρωμένοι στο δρόμο την ώρα που οδηγούμε. Πρέπει να εκπαιδεύσουμε τον οδηγό και να τον βοηθήσουμε να καταλάβει τα αδύναμα σημεία του και πώς μπορεί να βελτιωθεί. Πρέπει να αλλάξουμε την αντίληψη για το τι θεωρείται cool όταν οδηγούμε. Η επιθετική και γρήγορη οδήγηση δεν είναι cool. Και πάνω απ’ όλα πρέπει να δημιουργήσουμε οδηγική συνείδηση και να επισημάνουμε τη σημασία των πράξεών μας πριν και κατά τη διάρκεια της οδήγησης. Γιατί στο δρόμο, κάθε δευτερόλεπτο μετράει. But the ultimate challenge that we all have to work together on it, is to change drivers’ philosophy. We all have to realize how important it is to be focused on the steering wheel while driving. We need to Educate people and help them understand their weak points and become better and change the perception of cool driving. Aggressive driving is not cool. Research shows that women DO NOT like FAST BOYS anymore. And above all we have to raise driving awareness and highlight the importance of our actions before and while driving. Because every single second on the road counts.
  11. Τα ατυχήματα δεν συμβαίνουν, προκαλούνται. Η χρήση κινητού τηλεφώνου είναι η κύρια αιτία απόσπασης προσοχής κατά την οδήγηση. Είναι ο λόγος πρόκλησης του 26% των ατυχημάτων.   13. Στο τέλος κάθε διαδρομής ο οδηγός βλέπει ένα συνολικό σκορ και ένα σκορ ανά κατηγορία. Με αυτό τον τρόπο μπορεί να εντοπίσει τις κατηγορίες που υστερεί και να προσπαθήσει να γίνει καλυτερος. At the end of every trip the driver gets an overall score and a score per category. In that way we educate the driver to understand its weak points and become better, safer and more eco.
  14. Εμείς από την άλλη παρακολουθώντας την πορεία του μπορούμε με στοχευμένα μηνύματα να τον βοηθήσουμε δίνοντας του συμβουλές πώς μπορεί να βελτιωθεί αλλά και να τον επιβραβεύσουμε για την εξέλιξή του.
  15. Μπορει να συγκριθεί με τους καλύτερους αλλά και το μέσο οδηγό και έτσι η εφαρμογή αποκτά ένα πιο παιχνιδιάρικο χαρακτήρα
  16. Και φυσικά επειδή η ασφάλειά του είναι πάνω απ’ ολα, όταν η εφαρμογή αναγνωρίσει σοβαρό ατύχημα, επιβεβαιώνει με τον οδηγό το συμβάν κι αν αυτό δεν συμβεί, στέλνει κατευθείαν βοήθεια.
  17. Τέλος η ασφαλιστική μπορεί μέσω της εφαρμογής να αναγνωρίζει πλέον τον τρόπο που οδηγεί ο κάθε πελάτης ξεχωριστά.
  18. Ποιος όμως δίνει τη βαθμολογία; But who gives you the score? A score is useless if there isn’t valuable knowhow behind it.
