3. IMAC APPLE
We believe that this hardware is the most important for this project, as all
our footage, ideas and planning are on our Apple Macs. It has also allowed
us to back-up all our work and save it on our memory sticks too. We used
this as it made our progress quick, efficient and after short explanations,
easy to use. Also, other essential hardware we used includes the keyboard
and the mouse. Without these, we wouldn’t have been able to type up our
plans and ideas, or organized and put together our footage.

4. VIDEO CAMERA
Our footage wouldn’t have existed it wasn’t for our access to this hardware
equipment. The video camera travelled around with us, and we recorder
footage and took images whenever we saw something that we felt we could
embed in our video. Furthermore, the tripod we used was helpful for
recording, because our chosen location was often windy, so it allowed us
to keep a straight hold of the camera to have steady shots.

5. SD CARD & SD CARD READER
Both of these enabled us to upload our footage onto the Apple Mac and
then onto Final Cut Pro X to begin the editing. The SD card was stored in
the video camera and we had to take our footage off after every recording
to make sure it wasn’t wiped by another group when they were using the
camera. We also

6. X SERVE
This hardware equipment was essential, as all our saved work was directed
to this server. Therefore it held all our footage, planning, ideas, blog work,
video analysis, images and scanned sheets.

7. APPLE
Our footage, ideas and planning were all stored on our Apple Macs, with
further storage backed up on the hard drive and also on our USB sticks. It
helped that there are three of us working together, because we had our
work stored in several places. Having separate user accounts allowed us to
divide the work between us, while switching it around, so each of our
inputs was included in each individual part of the making of our music
video.

8. SCANNER
This hardware equipment was especially important for us, as we planned
many of our ideas on paper. Our ‘ordinary people’ footage layout was
drawn out and structured on paper, as well as our original ideas about
having different couples – the structures of these scenes were also written
out on paper. We also had our story board on paper, including our shot
types and the camera angles we planned to use for each part of footage.

9. MOBILE PHONE
As part of our audience feedback evaluation, we have our music video on
each of our phones, in order to be able to show friends and family, to get
their opinions and store it in the notes app on our iPhones. We have also
been able to take pictures of the hardware and software we’ve used for our
evaluation, allowing us to import them onto the Apple Mac using the USB
cable. Our iPhones have also been beneficial in that we’ve been able to
back-up parts of our work on them too, as an extra precaution.
