3. We used a iMac Computer with iMac Computer with Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 8 GB of memory,
with an Apple keyboard and mouse to allow us to interact with the software. Using these devices we
reached extensively the conventions of music videos and of our genre of music, indie. This helped us
conceptually develop our ideas in a clear style. We used the following methods of research:
4. After researching, we began devising our concepts. First we chosen our song then used pen and paper to
drawn out our storyboard, making sure we planned the set ups/shot types/mise-en-scene/etc in great
detail. We then uses an Epson 3300 scanner to import this on our coursework blog on wordpress.
5. We then used powerpoint to present our chosen idea to our peers, in order to get constructive feedback
from people who would be part of our target audience. We filmed this using Canon Legria HD
camcorder so we could put this on our blog as proof of our treatment.

6. Once our idea was approved we began to get to work planning days to shoot on. We have four set ups to
shot originally but as our ideas developed, along with our understanding of the technology, we
scheduled a fifth shoot in a studio setting. We used a Tripod and Canon Legria HD camcorder that shot
in HD to capture the footage, before converting it from a MP3 file to .mov
7. When the converting had finished we created a disk image on our computer and uploaded the files to
the Final Cut programme version 10 – catergoriesing the footage. We then found the song we wanted to
use and converted it from YouTube using some online software, Clic Convertor, and imported it into
Final Cut.
