The Dukan Dam is a multi-purpose concrete arch dam located in As Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It impounds the Little Zab river to create Lake Dukan. The dam is 360 meters long, 116.5 meters high, and has a maximum power generation capacity of 400 MW. It uses its reservoir to generate hydroelectric power and provide irrigation water through various spillways, tunnels, and outlets. Lake Dukan has a surface area of 270 square kilometers and stores up to 8.3 cubic kilometers of water.
