1) The document describes modeling and analyzing a composite propeller blade for an underwater vehicle using finite element analysis in ANSYS. 2) A propeller model was created in CATIA and meshed in HYPERMESH. Static, modal, and harmonic analyses were performed on aluminum and composite propeller models with varying layer numbers. 3) For the composite propeller, interlaminar shear stresses increased with additional layers while maximum deflections and stresses remained stable. The results for both materials were found to be within elastic limits.
