The student used various technologies throughout their research, planning, and production process for an A2 coursework project. Social networks like Facebook and Twitter allowed them to conduct surveys and share research. YouTube and iMovie helped present research creatively and develop skills. Powtoon, Popplet, and Prezi widened their presentation skills. Planning utilized Word, iMovie, and Padlet for timelines, pitches, and gathering feedback. Production employed video/photo cameras, iMovie for editing, and Publisher/Photoshop for ancillary products.

2. Research Technologies
The technologies I used during the research part of my A2 coursework such
as Social networks, YouTube, iMovie and presentation platforms such as
Powtoon, Popplet and Prezi have allowed me to carry out research and
present it in a wide variety of ways.
Social networks- Facebook and Twitter allowed me to share surveys and
research so that they reach a variety of age ranges and social groups, they
also allowed me to gain data fast and easily.
YouTube & iMovie- These technologies allowed me to present my research in
creative ways and share them to reach wide audiences. Through recurrent
use of them my knowledge and skills have also developed which enabled me
to produced a higher quality trailer on iMovie.

3. Research Technologies
Powtoon, Popplet and Prezi- By using a variety of presentation platforms I
have widened and developed my skills in order to create an innovative and
visually attractive research presentation. Examples include the use of
Powtoon to present my research into crime thriller ancillary products, Popplet
to present research into the history of the genre and Prezi to present an focus
group interview (see links below)

4. Planning Technologies
Whilst planning for my trailer I used a variety of different media to create
plans, timetables and gain feedback on any test footage.
Microsoft Word- I used Microsoft word to create timetables and risk
assessments for the draft version of our trailer. It enabled me to effectively
create accurate tables and schedules.
iMovie- I created our film pitch using iMovie to create a professional and
creative look but also
Padlet- Padlet enabled me to gain vital audience feedback easily and quickly
on trail footage. Feedback on costume, camera quality and the storyline itself
enabled us to create a story that successfully targeted our prospective
audience.

5. Production Technologies
During production the technologies I used varied toward recording equipment
and iMovie to edit footage.
Video camera/still camera- The HD video camera we used to film our trailer
created high quality film that gave our trailer a professional look.
iMovie- We used iMovie primarily to edit our trailer together and it allowed us
to create a professional trailer with the use of transitions and titles.
Microsoft publisher & Photoshop - I used Microsoft publisher to construct my
ancillary products and Photoshop to manipulate the images to create a
conventional look.
