This document discusses the growth of cloud computing and the new security challenges it presents. It notes that security is currently a top barrier to cloud adoption due to lack of control and visibility. The cloud drives needs for new security approaches across infrastructure, devices, and connections. McAfee's strategy is to provide elastic, efficient security across cloud infrastructure and protect sensitive data wherever it moves. This includes discovering workloads, securing each with desired policies, and allowing workloads to grow securely into the cloud.

Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) provides Boot Attestation
Boot your hypervisor from a “trusted” image
• Determine trust worthiness of the hypervisor boot using Intel TXT by
validating the Firmware/BIOS and the VMM image that booted
• Display the boot trust status in ePolicy Orchestrator
• Create policies based on this status – e.g. create a “secure VM” policy
that alerts the ePO administrator if a critical VM is running on an
untrusted hypervisor
