Presentation at OER10, Cambridge, 2010 with Alison Mackenzie. Content covers the outcomes of Edge Hill University's ReFORM project (part of the Jisc RePRODUCE Programme, forerunner of the OER Programme). Also discusses academics perceptions of openess and sharing and offers a TEL professional development framework and an open content literacy framework for review.

Recently published guidance for disabled students itemises a range of technology based "reasonable adjustments" they should expect to find in any post 16 learning provider.These expectations are based on advice and guidance that has been available to the sector for more than 6 years so learning providers claiming they didn't know wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

OER Schools Conference - Policy Workshop, Josie Fraser DigiLit Leicester
On 29 January 2015, Leicester City Council, in partnership with De Montfort University, held a free day conference for schools focusing on finding, using, creating and sharing Open Educational Resources (OER). The event builds on the council’s recently released OER guidance and resources, which can be downloaded from http://schools.leicester.gov.uk/openeducation
During the panel session, Josie Fraser reviewed the permission provided by Leicester City Council to community and voluntary controlled schools, and discussed how schools can take advantage of this. She followed this up with two policy workshops for schools, designed to take them through the process of developing a community based local OER policy.
iLab.o: Set up a large-scale trial
iLab.o helps to set up a large-scale trial outside the lab environment. Representative users get the chance to test ICT innovations over a longer period of time in their daily environment.
Risk management is a powerful tool in decision making. Delegates heard about how Jisc is approaching information security risk management and how the lessons learnt in implementing flexible, robust and effective processes can help your everyday work.
