Ancient Greek women's lives centered around domestic duties like weaving cloth, caring for children, and religious rituals. They wove thread into cloth using a loom and performed important tasks in religious ceremonies like decorating animals for sacrifice. While their lives were largely confined to the home, women also found social opportunities like fetching water, which allowed them to interact with other women.

and with the children and the slaves. Carrying water was a heavy and tiring job.
