The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was released in the November of 1998. Upon its release it
was widely acclaimed from critics to players. It s rare for a game for its age to still be in talks today
decades later. On Metacritic it s in the top 3 highest rated games of all time. It s a game every 90

timeline into 3 and leave the games into a whole new disaster. There are spoilers ahead for the
Ocarina of Time, so be warned. Here is an explanation of the 3 Zelda timelines and where the
games fit in them. The first timeline is known as the child era or the hero s descent era. In this era

with a third timeline. A timeline where Link failed and died trying to defeat Ganon. This
timeline is know as the Fallen Hero Timeline. The games in this timeline are the games from the
SNES and NES so they all have the same plot, being that Link must stop Ganon again to save the
world. This timeline is the most questionable because it s hard to see Link fail and lead a
depressing timeline. I feel it s a good place to put up the old Zelda games and make sure they
have a place instead of altering them. That s the end of that time line now so let s wrap this

where trauma affected behavior cannot be unlearned (Jackowski). Neglection from adults bring up

9. Why Do We Need to Understand Group Dynamics to Understand...
I.Introduction To understand Organizational Behavior and Management, we must study three
different levels. The first is the individual level, because every individual has its own unique
perception of the world and what surrounds him. Individuals behave following how they interpret
this and their environment. Each individual is different from the next one, because of its
personality and characteristics. However, it s possible to organize them by categorizing their
perceptions. Categories such as Appearance, Social behavior and Status are often considered.
Individual s motivations must be analyzed to understand the next level : the Group. A Group is

If members are attracted to the group because they like members of the group, or the group
activities/goals or just because it fills a need for affiliation, they are more likely to be
productive. The size of the group also has an influence on the group s performance. According to
recent research, medium sized groups of 5 to 7 people seem to have the higher performance in
organizations. If the group is smaller, there s a chance it can highlight the individual differences
and harm the group cohesiveness. If group are too large, people tend to work more by
themselves ( Free riding ) rather than with the whole group, or create smaller teams within the
group. c)Group norms. Norms are acceptable standards of behavior within a group that are shared
by the members of the group. Norms define the limits of what is acceptable and what is not in
terms of behavior. They are typically imagined in order to facilitate group survival, make behavior
more predictable, avoid embarrassing situations, and express the values of the group. Each group
will establish its own set of norms that may determine anything from the appropriate clothes to wear
at a dinner to how many comments to make in a meeting. Groups pressure members to force them
to conform to the group s standards. The norms often reflect the level of commitment, motivation,
and performance of the group. The majority of the members of the group must agree that the norms

Fermentation Lab

Fermentation Lab
Abstract: This lab s purpose was to see how different levels of yeast, distilled water, and sugar
interact to affect the level of carbon dioxide evolved in fermentation. In this experiment we had
two sections. The first section tested four test tubes with varying levels of yeast, glucose and
distilled water for evolved carbon dioxide levels. The tubes were timed for 20 minutes. The
amounts of solution in the test tubes are noted in the methods section of this lab report. The
second section of the lab used three test tubes and flowed the same procedure except added spices.
The levels of ingredients are also in the methods section. The main goal of this experiment was to
see the effects of yeast concentration.
Introduction: Cellular respiration and fermentation are used in cells to generate ATP. All cells in
a living organism require energy or ATP to perform cellular tasks (Urry, Lisa A., et al. , pg. 162).
Since energy can not be created (The first law of thermodynamics) just transformed, the cell must
get its energy from an outside source (Urry, Lisa A., et al. , pg.162). Totality of an organism s
chemical reactions is called metabolism (Urry, Lisa A., et al., pg. 142). Cells get this energy
through metabolic pathways, or metabolism. As it says in Campbell biology, Metabolic pathways
that release stored energy by breaking down complex molecules are called catabolic pathways

12. Social Discrepancies Of Titanic, By James Cameron
Social Discrepancies of Titanic Proportions James Cameron s renowned film Titanic is more
than just a love story, and more than a mere portrayal of the tragic sinking of the unsinkable ship;
it is a representation of the socioeconomic disparities between the haves and the have nots during
the early 1900s. As explained by Levinson (2012), Edwardian era society was based on a social
hierarchy dictated by wealth and social class; specifically, the Titanic s passengers were divided
into three classes, determined not only by the price of their ticket, but by their wealth and social
position (150). This socioeconomic class division is evident through the film s plot in which Jack
Dawson, a jobless, lower class American who wins his way onto the RMS Titanic, shares an inter
socioeconomic class relationship with upper class Rose DeWitt Bukater. This storyline allows for
overlaps between the first and third class, and ultimately depicts the ideology of Outsiders versus
Insiders (LCR). Outlined in the Left Center Right Model for identifying ideologies, Outsiders
versus Insiders is an ideology where a left wing view identifies with the poor and disenfranchised,
also know as the Outsiders, and the right winged view identifies with the Establishment and people
in power, or the Insiders (LCR). Titanic represents the outsider oriented perspective on social class
through the difference between first and third class environments, the neglect given towards the
third class,

13. The Rhetorical Analysis Of Ursula Kroebed Commencement...
Women have been fighting for their rights since July 13, 1848. A lot has changed for women since
then but in some parts of the world they are still being held lower than men. In some companies
women are denied certain jobs due to their gender, and they receive lower pay than a man would in
the same job position. Ursula Kroeber Le Guin wanted to highlight that in A Left handed
commencement Address, where she points out that the world revolves around men and yet she
proves that women are actually equal to men. Le Guin supports this with allusions, rhetorical
questions, parallel structure and a hopeless and later hopeful tone. She urges women to stop
adjusting themselves for the rule of men and rather follow their own rules and create an
environment where they live with men rather than under men. Le Guin addresses both men and
women, especially the women who struggle with failure. She makes an optimistic, welcoming
environment for them that hopefully motivates them to fight for their freedom and equality. This
commencement address has a very heavy parallel structure. In the second paragraph Le Guin
emphasizes, ...I hopefor you is first, if only if you want kids, I hope you have them...I hope they re
beautiful. I hope you and they have enough to eat... This is where her purpose starts to show and
where she can connect to her audience. She could have blatantly stated how she wants one to have
a positive future but instead she paints a picture of what can happen and how

When one thinks of important scientific figures hailing from Europe, people such as Galileo

Anning. Although an obscure figure, Anning was one of the most significant contributors to
paleontology, known by some as the greatest fossilist the world ever knew (Torrens 257). Born
on May 21, 1799, Mary Anning was born in the town of Lyme Regis, located in England. Her
father, Richard Anning, a carpenter, and her mother, Mary Moore, had a total of nine children.
Among the nine, only Mary and Joseph Anning reached adulthood; the rest had passed away while
they were children (Famous People Mary Anning). Mary Anning is known to have had unique
experiences as a child. At the age of one, a woman holding Anning was struck by lightning and
killed, along with two others. Anning was rendered unconscious, but was brought back after a
warm bath. After this event, it is documented that the formerly dull and sickly Anning showed
higher signs of intelligence, and was livelier (Dickens). Although it is difficult to say whether or
not this event truly affected her intelligence because of her age as to when it happened, it is a
remarkable story, nonetheless. As Mary went through her childhood, she developed a... Show more

then goes on in briefly telling the reader what prison was like for their father. Eventually moving
on to how the father met the mother and the relationship they father and mother had. This is an
interesting take on the way a child views their father and mother and how the father has craved
freedom. The fluidity of this short piece is excellent, it is not choppy and it gives just enough
detail without dragging the story out. It also helps that this piece is an easy read. One of the
things that I enjoyed from the piece was the comparison to how Indians would live compared to
different races mentioned in the piece. I though it gave the Victor the narrator some personality.
Victor also does a lovely job on creating the images of what his parents and their relationship, as
well as his love for his father. The analogy of Jimi Hendrix and freedom for the freedom was easy

The traditional legend begins with Rangi (the sky father) and Papa (the earth mother) uniting to
give birth to numerous offspring: gods of the sea, forest, wind, wild food, planted food, and
mankind.5 Once born, the children constantly quarreled with one another in the darkness and
finally decided to separate their parents to create light. The god of the wind, opposed to the idea,
fled to the sky where his anger manifested into thunder and lightening. Disregarding his brother s
opinion, the god of the forest successfully separated his parents loving embrace. The
disconnection enabled life to flourish and thrive throughout the land. Unfortunately, Rangi and
Papa were forever separated. Rangi s constant flow of tears filled the oceans and lakes. To this day,
many Maori believe that Rangi and Papa s infinite sorrow is responsible for the dew, mist and rain.5
Maori religion is largely based on the ancient legend of Rangi and Papa. The religion promotes a
deep connection and respect for nature. It is their belief that all life possesses mauri (life force),
wairau (spirit), and mana (power, influence, and charisma).3 This universal life force is

Practices that cause failure in leadership and management:
Ignoring the environment
One of the best ways to ensure failure in an organization is to manage it without regard for its
external environment, ignoring those stakeholders who play such an important role in the
organizations success or failure. To ignore the potential power possessed by the various stakeholder
groups is unwise and it often results from either ignorance or stagnation on the part of the
developing organization.
Incorrectly identifying solutions to problems
It has been a trait of managers to want to treat symptoms rather than finding the root cause of a
problem and then they wonder why the problem keeps coming back. Many times managers fail to
realize that some of the problems that occur are just minor glitches, while the rest of the lot have a
real effect on the bottom line. Successful managers are the ones who can pinpoint which problems
will have the biggest impact on the bottom line and then focus their efforts in managing solutions to
those problems.

The idea of the existence of evil in nature many times creates arguments between creationists and
scientists concerning not only the design of nature by a creator God, but the actual benevolence

controversial issue by posing the question: If God is good and if creation reveals his goodness,
why are we surrounded with pain, suffering, and apparently senseless cruelty in the animal world?
He uses the life span of the parasitic ichneumon wasp to illustrate a scientific view that the concept
of evil is limited to human beings and that the world of nature is unconcerned with it. To some ...

and intestinal parasites after the fall of Adam and Eve. It was also after the fall of man that he
became aware that nature as beneficial and beautiful as God had created it, also had a cruel and
dangerous side. The once perfect world had no pathogenic organisms. Bacteria for example,
played a purely beneficial role in the ecology of paradise. Even in the Garden of Eden, there had
to be some type of garbage or refuse. Flower petals and fallen fruit would litter the ground unless
some microbial force broke them down into useful organic matter. However, after man s fall,
strains of bacteria became toxic and man realized that accidentally eating toxic plants could kill
him, there were disease epidemics, and major struggles to protect his food crop from disease, plant
and animal pests (Wheeler, Gerald). Not long after that did the violence of man evolve and spread
throughout the land.
Another crisis stressed the earth s ecology as a result of man s corruption,

24. Case A Retail Dry Cleaning Shop
A retail dry cleaning store cleans two piece suits for $12 each. Its patrons are individual walk ins.
There are several similar dry cleaners in the city and this firm offers no special services. The firm
can clean up to 1,000 suits per week. It has fixed costs of $3,500 per week (amortization on its
equipment, rent, taxes, and salaries) plus a costof $4 per suit for chemicals, packaging materials,
order processing, and incidentals. Volume per week has been fairly constant at 600 suits.
A firm that operates three hotels in the city is asking the store to clean 150 two piece staff
uniforms per week at a price of $6.75 per suit. The process would be the same as the store uses on
suits. Because there are several dry cleaning stores ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Why or why not?
The special job still should be accepted even if the hotel chain is only willing to pay $4.25 per
uniform. As mentioned previously, the price at $4.25 is still greater than the Marginal Costat $4.00
and therefore it is still profitable for the firm to continue and make the uniform. The increase in
revenue would be $637.50 ($4.25*150), whereas the increase in costs would only be $600
($400*150). Therefore, even though the $4.25 is far below the $12.00 market price and the
average total cost of $8.67, it is still a profitable order.
Calculation below: =$4.25 =$4.00 =$8.67
3.Suppose the hotel chain is willing to negotiate the price. When you enter the negotiations, what is
the lowest price you are willing to accept (i.e., your reservation price)? (Of course, you will not
announce this price to the other party.)
Since this firm is in a perfectly competitive market, they must charge the same price in the
industry to be competitive. Since they have excessive capacity of up to 400 suits above their
normal sales, the incremental job allows them to negotiate a price anywhere revenue is greater
than the variable cost per shirt. The lowest price that the dry cleaning service should accept is the
point where the Market Price=Marginal Cost =Marginal Revenue, which is $4.00 per uniform.
This is only the case because the dry cleaning service has the excess capacity and

Introduction:
Political philosophy is the study of basic questions about the state, government, politics, liberty,
justice etc. political philosophy is concerned with the concepts and arguments involves in political
opinion. It is ethics applied to a group of people, discusses about societies set up.In political
philosophy it is important to know what ought to be a person s relationship in a society. This seeks
application of ethical concepts to social sphere. It is a standard which help to analyze and judge
existing institutions and relationships. According to Bernard Williams political philosophy is not
just applied moral philosophy, which is what in our culture it is often taken to be....political
philosophy must use distinctively political concepts, such as power, and its normative relative,
legitimation. Leo Strauss has said Philosophy is the quest for wisdom and political philosophyis the
attempt truly to know about the nature of political things and the right or the good political order.
In the history of political philosophy, many philosophers have born and influence the era with their
theory. There some renowned philosopher from ancient time to modern are Plato, Aristotle,

others. Some soldiers even laid down their lives for one thing: freedom. Wayne Dyer, an American

27. Comparing Anatomical Theory And Germ Theory
Over time, many practices contributed to the success and promotion of modern day medicine today.
The three early theoretical treatments consisted of the Humoral theory, anatomical theory, and the
germ theory. Today, each provided insight into knowledge of medicine. We will review each theory
and compare how different each are from one another and their historical significance today to
health and wellness.
Of the first, Hippocrates developed Humoral theory in 460 to 370 B.C. The treatment was based
on how the body handled the fluids within itself. Reviewing a patient s blood, urine, or other
fluids were vital to the success of the treatment. In addition, the treatment consisted of information
relayed from the patient to the practitioner to come to a diagnosis. The doctors of this period kept
detailed records containing historical data of the stages of the illness. Four key elements were of
the writings to find a treatment and potentially cure the patient. Black bile, red or yellow bile,
blood, and phlegm. The humor believed all four had to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Germ versus Humor theory involves the view of the fluids must all be in line with one another in

defining the illness thus isolating the germ will defeat the illness. Anatomy theory versus a germ

provides more detailed analysis of the microscopic tissue and organs involved. Anatomical theory
and humor are far from relation. The discovery of anatomical theories allowed for the evolution of
medicine rather than suppressing it discoveries to four theories. The anatomy is vast and complex
in its workings. The three theories were ingenious for their time but imperfect, ever changing,

The Path of a Buddhist
Buddhism is a religion and philosophy based on the teachings of the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama.
Today, Buddhism has an estimated seven hundred million followers, known as Buddhists. Most
practicing Buddhists believe in ideas such as karma, dharma, samsara and nirvana. In addition to
these, Buddhists base their lives and actions on the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path.
Taught by Gautama, the Noble Eightfold path is a theory, that when put into action, serves as a way
to end suffering (The Noble Eightfold Path). In Buddhism, the belief is that life is suffering.
Through out his life, Gautama, searched endlessly for a means of liberation from this suffering.

It also provides a means to grasp the impermanent and imperfect nature of worldly things, and to
understand the law of karma. It is the first teaching because one s worldview will determine one s
thoughts and right view yields right actions (The Noble Eightfold Path).
Right Intention deals with positive and negative energy and the commitment to mental self
improvement. The Buddha explains right intention as threefold: the intention of renunciation, the
intention of good will, and the intention of harmlessness . These intentions include the resistance of
desire, aversion or anger, and acts of cruelty or aggressiveness (Bodhi).
Right Speech is deeply emphasized among all Buddhist because of the severe consequences of
speech; words can save lives, make enemies or friends, start war or create peace. Buddha explained
his third principle as abstinence from false speech, abstinence from slanderous speech and not to
use words maliciously against others, abstinence from harsh words that offend or hurt others, and
finally abstinence from idle chatter that lacks purpose or depth (The Noble Eightfold Path).
Right Action encompasses many ideas in one principle. It gives restriction to the way one should
use their body. To a Buddhist Right Action includes but is not limited to abstaining from taking
another s life or one s own life, stealing and behaving unchastely. The idea of Right Action is based

31. Child s Real Time Referential Processing Development
Introduction Language processing has been a largely studied area of research over the past _
years. More recently, studies have looked into real time referential processing abilities in children
in order to understand how processing works as well as what contributes to levels of efficiency.
Some factors that effect proficiency of this ability includes exposure to infant directed speech,
onset of exposure to first language, socioeconomic status, as well as various individual differences
such as language impairments and/or deafness. This paper strives to collect supporting ideas of
what factors contribute to a child s real time referential processing development. Exposure to

The findings support that experiencing language fosters development of vocabulary through
positively influenced processing efficiency. It has also been seen that children from higher
socioeconomic status families show greater interaction and exposure to language which leads to
larger vocabularies as well as efficient real time processing (Fernald, A., Marchman, V. A.,
Weisleder, A., 2013). Ultimately, children who are more exposed to speech are able to interpret
words, create mental lexicon representations leading them to be able to familiarize with words
quicker and with better accuracy during speech in real time. This ability later shows rapid
growth in vocabulary. (Weisleder et al., 2013) The looking while listening test is a good
resource, however in some cases this test cannot be used. Such reasons arise in the assessment of
deaf children that heavily rely on ASL signs as their primary tool for communication. Spoken
language learning processes require visual and auditory modalities where as comprehension and
processing of sign language requires visual attention to real world referents as well as attention to
visual linguistic signs (Lieberman et al., 2015). Lieberman et al. (2015) at the University of
California looked at real time processing in ASL signs and finds evidence to support that when
deaf children are exposed to ASL from birth, they are developing sub lexical features within their

32. Class Conflict And Class Conflicts
Class warfare, also referred to as class conflict or class struggle, is a form of social tension
caused by conflicting and competing socioeconomic interests between people of different classes
(Zinn, 19). According to Karl Marx and several scholars, this struggle provides the lever for
radical social change and development. Class conflict comes in many forms: direct and indirect
violence such as wars, starvation, illness and poor working conditions; ideological, such as the
production of articles and books. Moreover, this conflict can take on a political form, which
includes swaying government leaders with enticing offers to fulfill personal or ideological interests.

In ancient Greece, the majority (up to 80%) were slaves. Cities were mainly engaged in
governmental operations and the bulk of the economy was agricultural. The slave owners were
largely plantation owners, government officials, philosophers/scholars, all of whom were
members of the leisure class that tended to live in luxury with little in the way of work
obligations. As such, slavery was seen as natural. This view was held mostly by slaves owners
but was also accepted by some slaves. They were ultimately controlled by the institutions and
ideals mentioned earlier. The leisure class were also the subject of these ideals. Because they
found physical work to be beneath their natural station, work was viewed as the lot of the lower
classes. In fact, other societies followed in a similar vein. Notably Rome, who had much
stronger institutions, especially those related to law and religion. Feudalism Much was
happening in the world during this period, but it was very different from what was taking place

33. The Rights Of The Citizens Of A Country
A bill of rights is essentially a list of the most important rights to the citizens of a country. It is
also known as a declaration of rights, or in some countries it is a charter of rights. The main
purpose is that it cannot be modified or repealed by a country s legislature through normal
precedent, thus it protects the rights of man against transgression from public officials and
private citizens. All countries with legal and political systems have some sort of legal protection
system that protects the values and freedoms that they think are important. While it is there to
list and protect the rights of man, it is also in play to limit the power of the government, and to
declare things Congress shall never do. These limitations serve to protect freedoms of religion
and speech, a free press, free assembly, and free association, and the right to keep and bear arms.
The U.S Bill of Rights is a document that officially became part of the constitution in 1791,
consisting of the Constitution s first ten amendments. It is the embodiment of the one true
revolutionary idea in all history, and played a major role in laying the framework for rights as
citizens of America. It was written by James Madison in response to the need of greater
constitutional protection of individual liberties. According to constitutionfacts.com, Madison was

34. John Donne s Metaphysical Poetry
John Donne s metaphysical poetry is where theology crosses with sexuality. The connection
between spiritual love and erotic love becomes apparent. Throughout his whole life Donne
found love in everything. In his early life his focus was on the love of women, and then it
transitioned to the love of his wife, and ultimately the love of God. His work defines the unity of
these contrasting ideals in every man and woman. Batter my Heart and The Ecstasy displayed
the connection that can be found between erotic love and divine love. There are also
characteristics with each piece of Donne s work that can be identified as crossovers from erotic and
divine. Early in Donne s career his initial pieces of literature were defined as his love poetry, while
his later work was primarily his Holy Sonnets. It can be perceived that through his love poetry
Donne establishes his ideals on love. Through his writing of The Ecstasy , Donne is able to relay
his experiences of love and that love is experienced through the body, soul, or both. His work
emphasized that it can either be a religious or sensual experience. For The Ecstasy Donne conveys
a complex viewpoint towards erotic pleasure in comparison to the full understanding of love. His
poem urges the readers to rejuvenate their souls through a sensual connection that results in ecstasy.
This idea bashes the conventional idea of the time period that the soul and body are separate; that
sexual pleasure does not create a bond between the

The first step in accommodating students with dyslexia is identifying students who have
difficulties with the language processing of reading, writing, and spelling. Difficulties can be
identified through observation. Some of the characteristics to be gathered is whether the student
has a hard time sounding out words, reads slow with hesitation, and omits/adds/reverses letters in
words. Also, it is important to see if the student forgets spelling rules, makes phonological errors,
and calls letters out of sequence. The student may forget to use capital letters when appropriate,
have an inconsistent writing style, and be reluctant to writing (Reid, 2007). They will have no
enjoyment of readingor writing as a leisure activity. They will be very forgetful, will often lose
things, and become easily distracted. They will also complete tasks later than a given time limit.

activities are using explicit teaching procedures and repeating directions. The teacher can provide a

Tigers Delight The largest tiger in the world has been measured at over ten feet long and over six
hundred and sixty pounds! Tigers are apart of the cat family and are known to be the largest feline
in the bunch. Within just the tiger species there are nine different subspecies and three of which
are already extinct. Their differences are not as drastic in appearance like other animals, such as
dogs for example, but they still noticeable to the trained eye. All tiger subspecies are currently
classified as being endangered but there are many actions being taken to help keep the current
surviving species from going extinct. Most tigers in nature live to be ten to fifteen years old.
Tigers by nature are carnivores and are only found in nature in one continent on earth, which is
Asia. Unlike most cats tiger enjoy swimming and spend the majority of the hot summer days
resting in rivers or lakes. OneKind.org is an animal relief organization and they explain that tiger
s roar can carry more than 2 km and they are most active hunters at night (OneKind). Knowing
information about the six living subspecies of tigers and their differences, whether it be physical
make up or social habits, and what organizations are out there and what they are doing to help the
endangered species, is a brilliant start to having a well rounded knowledge of tigers.

Batman is not afraid to go into situations alone, even when he is clearly outnumbered or he
knows the odds are not in his favor. He uses cunning, strength and planning to gain the advantage
in those situations. In one scene of Batman Begins, Batman says, It s not who I am underneath,
but what I do that defines me (Nolan Batman Begins). Bruce proves that he doesn t do it for his
image and reputation, but for a bigger cause, like justice and saving Gotham. Another scene
involves Commissioner Gordon and Batman. Gordon says, I never said thank you, and Batman
responds, And you ll never have to (Nolan Batman Begins). Again, Bruce Wayne gives evidence
toward fighting for something more, and not personal gain. Beowulf intentionally slept in
Heorot, knowing Grendel would appear and a battle would commence. Beowulf used his
knowledge of the events and his strength and bravery to defeat Grendel. One section of the
poem reads, They have seen my strength for themselves, have watched me rise from the
darkness of war, dripping with my enemies blood. I drove five great giants into chains, chased all
of that race from the earth. I swam in the blackness of night, hunting monsters out of the ocean,
and killing them one by one; death was my errand and the fate they had earned. Now Grendel and I

38. Persuasive Essay On Fake News
Almost 1.8 billion people use Facebook, and about half of American adults use as their main
news source. According to Cambridge Dictionary, fake news is false stories that appear to be
news, spread on the internet or using other media, usually created to influence political views or as
a joke. Currently, many people are debating over the problem of fake news. For example, in the
2016 election, two candidates were chosen, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. As many citizens
possessed different political views, some started to create posts and articles to try and change
other s political opinions. As a result of this, companies were criticized for not taking measures to
reduce the amount of fake news. Later, companies started to take control of their software, as it is
essential to handle fake news as most people receive their information from these outlets. Although
some argue that the spread of fake news is the fault of the people who create it, it should be
largely the company s responsibility to control its spread; they should add algorithms to determine a
post s validity.
During the 2016 presidential election, Facebook was greatly disparaged for not making an attempt
to counter fake news. Although Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that Facebook had no connection with
the outcome of the election, some thought otherwise. For example, a man named Eric Tucker took

The Seven Days Campaign of 1862 was a sequence of battles that took place along the Virginia
Peninsula east of Richmond, between the Union Army of the Potomac and the Confederate
Virginia Army from 26 June through 2 July. The campaign consisted of the following six battles:
Mechanicsville, Gaines Mill, and Savage Station, engagement at Oak Swamp Bridge, and battles of
Frazier s Farm and Malvern Hill over a seven day period. Major General George B. McClellanled
the Union Armyof nearly 104,000 soldiers, while the newly appointed commander, General Robert
Edward Lee led the Confederate Army of nearly 92,000 soldiers during this campaign. General Lee
s major objective was to protect and defend the City of Richmond against the Union Army. General
Lee s usage of the mission command principles and battlefield management during the Seven Days
Campaign secured a quick and significant victory for the Army of Northern Virginia, and drove the
Major General McClellan Union troops to retreat down the Virginia Peninsula. His ability to build a

Gauguin, a friend of Van Gogh s, does not add relevance to the piece nor can it be proven by this

tries to recover their credibility by randomly attaching at the concluding paragraph, a red herring,
which deduces that Van Gogh was in fact not murdered. This information though does not pertain to
anything the author was talking about previously, so in turn this makes his essay seem very rushed

43. Barriers Of Oligopoly
2. Economic Theory
2.1Oligopoly
Oligopoly is a market structure in which a few firms dominate the market (Jocelyn Blink Ian
Dorton, 2012). The market may have a large number of firms or just a few, but the important idea
is that the industry s output is shared by a small number of firms. It is possible for oligopolistic
industries to differ, in the sense that some industries would produce the same kind of products,
where the product is practically the same and only the companies name is different. On the other
hand, there are also industries that produce completely different product and also ones that
produce products that are only a bit different from each other, but these firms do tend to spend
most of their budgets to advertise their products (Jocelyn Blink Ian Dorton, 2012). There are a few
main characterises of firms that operate as oligopolies these include:

three diverse faiths. The faiths chosen are Islam, Christian Science and Buddhism, and how they
compare to Christianity. We will learn about basic beliefs, spiritual perspectives on healing, and the
components of healing such as meditation, prayer and other rituals they follow. Furthermore, ...

When sick with an illness they feel that they must engage in positive actions. To prevent illness,
they must be clear and relieved of negative imprints that the world may bring their way. Buddhism
has a strong belief that anything that occurs to them now is a reflection of a previous action, not
only in this current life but of previous lives too. The Buddhism religion believes that the start of
all problems stems from selfishness; one must avoid greed, anger and thoughts of jealousy. When
death occurs they feel that their consciousness that holds their karmic imprints separates from
their body and travels into a new life. Meditation and visualization are used to heal by reciting
mantras and use of visualizing holy images (Hawter, 1995). In comparing Buddhism to
Christianity, Buddhism predates Christianity by 500 years and could have influenced the beliefs
that resulted in Christianity. In the Christian faith it is believed that Jesus Christ is the son of God
who died for our sins then was resurrected from the dead. Buddhist does not believe in an immortal
soul or a supreme being. Christianity believes that there is only one life with one soul, whereas
Buddhism believes in countless lifetimes of progression towards enlightenment. Christianity
believes in consequences of good and evil, also following the 10 commandments in everyday life.
Buddhism follows an eight fold path of universal suggestions to a more content life. The next

45. History Of Land Protection Regulation On Urban Development...
Farmland protection has become a contentious political issue in China due to the loss of cultivated
land in rapidly growing urban centers. In response to new information about rates of farmland
conversion, the national government placed a national moratorium on arable land conversion in
1997 and imposed stringent regulations on the encroachment of urban land on agricultural lands in
the Land Management Law of 1998 (Lin and Ho 2005). There has been speculation about the
efficacy of the regulations, which are challenging to enforce. Others have expressed concern that
the regulations could severely distort China s most productive urban land markets (Lichtenberg and
Ding 2009, Ding 2003).
This paper estimates the causal effect of the primary farmland protection regulation on urban land
development across China. I use a satellite based data set that measures time varying rates of
agricultural and urban land change before and after the regulatory change in 1998. Satellite data
have played an important role in assessments of farmland loss in China for over a decade, but
have not been used to examine the impact of the regulatory policy. I make use of an important
feature of the regulation s design, the no net loss rule, which provides an arbitrary discontinuity in
the likelihood that the regulation will bind in different provinces. I estimate effects using the
province level as well as across discontinuities at provincial borders. The simultaneity of regulatory
decision making and

46. Social Security Trust Fund Essay
The Social Security System runs on the laborer contribution to the trust fund. For the example,
when individuals are working, he or she required to contribute into the Social Security Fund: so
later in their life when it s their time to retire, they can receive benefits from the social security
fund. It has been helping retirees to meet their monthly expenses. The social security policy is a
successful intergenerational program that has been serving American aging people for many
years. Although, since 2010, the social security trust fund has been paying out more than what
they receive through employees. Which is why many experts predict that system will work till
2037. Historically, Social Security trust fund has taken in more money in taxes than it has paid out
in benefits. However, from last few decades the worker to beneficiary ratio has been dropping. In
1945 there were 42 workers for each beneficiary, in 1980 it had fallen to 3.2 worker to one
beneficiary, expert predicts by 2030 there will be only 2 workers will support each beneficiary. The
reason for this change is that the beneficiary are living longer, so they are receiving Social
Security Benefits for longer periods of time. While on the other hand, population growth is lower,
that means fewer babies per family, and less workers force for later. The less workers per
beneficiary will... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The people who oppose the privatization, propose that retirees could lose their benefits in a stock
market downturn, as well as, some workers may not contribute to the account. On the other hand,
the promoters of privatization suggest that byn privatizing the account retirees will have higher
returns than the current system can offer. Also, privatization may help to restore the system s
ability to pay the dues. As per my personal opinion the system should privatize for our better

47. Thirteen Reasons Why Analysis
Preserving Intellectual Freedom The American Library Association states that the most
challenged and restricted reading material have been children books. However, challenges are
not merely an expression of a point of view; on the contrary, it is an attempt to remove materials
from public use, thus restricting the access to others. Even if the motivation to ban or challenge a
book is well intended, the outcome is unfair for everyone else. Censorship denies our freedom as
individuals to choose and think for ourselves. For children, decisions about what books to read
should only be made by the people who know them best their parents! (Letter to the Editor). I
strongly disagree when people want books banned based on their own opinion of the book. The
novel in question, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, is no exception to frequent challenges....

It is a privilege that we all have in the United States and it should not be taken lightly. Parents
should understand that they have a right to decide what their child reads, but they should not take
away that same right from other parents. The attempt to expose students to challenging topics and
issues is not intended to force students into a certain mode of thought. Books serve as
opportunities for students to think, theorize, question, and explore those topics in a controlled
environment directed by teachers, parents, and experts and even though the book contains some
sensitive material the lessons learned are far superior to the controversial material presented in
Thirteen Reasons Why. Great lessons are not just learned in real life; we can learn them in books
as well. Give the book an honest try and do not be biased to sensitive material, grasp the main
message of the book then make the final decision, but make sure it is for your child, not the entire

48. Essay Robert Altmans Nashville
Nashville Essay
Robert Altman s movie Nashville is based on the political, social, and personal problems that our
country has to deal with. These problems are rooted in the battle between the need to create some
false image of success and the need for truth which is the struggle that exists in every character of
this film (except Jeff Goldbloom). To show this Robert Altman takes us through Nashville s
Country Music using political commentary, music and realistically portrayed dialogue to tell the
story.
Altman portrayed politics as sort of a parasite feeding off of the Nashville dream. He used
acousmatic sound in two ways to portray these parasitic politics. The first way is the use of the
Hall Walker van which was an almost a surreal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Altman also uses dialogue in a similar manor. The nature of dialogue itself is solely for creating
and upholding the self image of the Nashville Star weather you are one or not. The conversations
never get passed the surface issues, and no one ever speaks their mind unless it s safe. But, the
reality of each character is very real and deep due to the way the dialogue was set up. Most of
the people were frivolous so in order to add some depth and reveal their true character Altman
had to make the dialogue as realistic as possible. The dialogue seemed almost unrehearsed or not
planned at all which gives it its reality. The most odious example of this is when the Hal Walker
representative is arguing about the political sign with Barbra Gene s husband at Centennial Park.
He slips on his line in the heat of the argument. I don t know if this was intentional or not, but I
think they chose to keep it in the movie because it seemed to be more true to reality than just a
smooth flowing argument that would normally be in a movie. The little slip gave way, for the first
time, a vulnerable side to the Hal Walker rep or even politics for that matter.
There is also another form of acousmatic, and it is the subtle comments of the crowd. Because there
are so many appearances and performances the crowd reaction becomes very important to the
context of the story from an outside critical standpoint. Putting these comments together creates one

49. Off Road Driving Research Paper
Many of us have grown up in the country where off road driving is not just a past time, but a
great way to spend time with family and friends. Having mud bogging trucks to tear through off
road obstacles, are some of the best times ever spent off road. In order to successfully navigate
areas, a well equipped rig is essential. Starting with tires, the best kinds of tires are ones that can
handle deep holes filled with all kinds of muck. The more aggressive the tread the better, by using
tread patterns that are spaced out more will allow the muck to be thrown rather than collected. The
larger the tire the better and having wider tires is another helpful idea, as it will allow the rig to
have more ground to grab onto. Sealing up the electrical... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After market packages are very useful in this instance, as they are not only inexpensive but also
tend to last longer in most cases. When the new gear boxes have been purchased and installed,
remember to keep them greased properly so they will not become damaged. Since the nature of
these rigs is to be off the road running through muck filled holes that run upwards of 6 feet deep
and generally have a healthy amount of water. If the intake system from sucks in water the
engine is likely to seize up and that means time for a new motor, a good way to prevent this from
happening is to install a snorkel system that will allow the intake to breathe in fresh air. If the
snorkel system is out of the question, another alternative is to modify the intake to receive air from
inside the cab of the rig. Along with adding a breather system, another consideration is securing the
radiator. A lot of owners move their radiator to the back of the rig to prevent damage. When they do
this they connect an electric fan to prevent overheating, this also prevents the fan from being
pushed into the radiator. This method saves time and money on costly repairs that can be caused by

50. Dissociative Identity Disorder
The DSM 5 defines dissociative identity disorder (DID) as the occurrence of a minimum of two
different personalities and maybe more than two. It also clarifies that the switching between the
distinct personalities can be observed by the individual who is suffering from dissociative identity
disorder or witnessed by others. (Barlow, 2014, P. 1). This disorder used to be known as multiple
personality disorder, which is more recognized and understood to people without a psychology
background. This disorder can be quite intense to including the different identities have different
names, backgrounds, and memories. Dissociative identity disorderis fairly common in clinical
residents. It is believed that dissociative identity disorder has been around for as long as human
populations have been around. The most primitive cases of an individual suffering from DID
correspond with early cases on Mesmerism. Mesmerism was also known as hypnosis or animal
magnetism. There is a reason for these two occurring together in history and that is they have an
inherent association. The main thing DID and Mesmerism share is that they both deal with the
uncovering of several modified states of consciousness that were out of the ordinary.
The early 1800s gave us the first written records that describe dissociative identity disorder in very
accurate terms, some of the terms are similar to the way we still describe them today. In 1811,

51. Comparing Christian Liberty, Utopia, and The Prince Essay
Christian Liberty, Utopia, and The Prince
A Christian is a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none...A Christian is a perfectly dutiful servant
to all, subject to none. (Luther Pg. 7) These lines show what Luther is truly about. In Christian
Liberty, Luther believes in the reestablishing of God as the inner authority. In Utopia, Thomas More
believes the power should be in one group and that the rest of the common people in the society
should all be equal like a communist society. In The Prince, Machievelli believes that the power is
within the prince. I choose Christian Liberty as the best form of authority because it is the closest
to being an honest and true way of authority. Although noneof the books portray ... Show more

Is not such a soul most obedient to God in all things by this faith? ...What more complete
fulfillment is there than obedience in all things? This obedience, however, is not rendered by
works but by faith alone. (Luther page 13) In this passage Luther is explaining the inner man
versus the outer man. He is showing that if you trust and believe in God then he will never steer
you wrong but if you don t then, what greater wickedness, what greater contempt of God is there
than not believing his promise...but to make God a liar or to doubt that he is truthful? That is to
ascribe truthfulness to one s self but lying and vanity in God?
This quote shows the dismal side of not believing in God and his supreme power and authority. If
you were to doubt him whom would you go to for salvation once he gave up on you?
Man has a two fold nature, a spiritual and a bodily one. According to the spiritual nature, which
men refer to as the soul, he is called a spiritual, inner or new man. According to the bodily nature
which men refer to as flesh, he is called a carnal, outward, or old man. (Luther page 7) We have
first talked about the spiritual aspect of a person now we are going to talk about the physical aspect.
Now let us turn to the second part, the outer man. Here we shall answer all those who, offended by
the word faith and by all that

52. Theories Of Psychology
The first theories talked about within chapter 4 are the inferiority and superiority complex
theories developed by Alfred. The infinity feelings are the source of all human striving, and is
normal among us all. It is brought about as soon as we are born, as we must compensate for our
lack of size or independence. The greatest example I can give of the inferiority feeling happened
two days ago with the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Abdellatif Baka of Algeria won the T13
1500m final on Monday night in a stunning performance that not only set a new Paralympic world
record, but stands as the fastest 1500m time recorded by an able bodied or disabled athlete in Rio
over both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Among him was three other runners that finished...

A female patient from New York City is obviously going to be much different than a female farm
wife from Oklahoma. Personality doesn t depend wholly on biological forces, but depends much
more on the environment we was raised in. Horney believed that childhood was dominated by
the safety need, which is a higher level need for security and freedom from fear. She placed great
emphasis on the infant s helplessness. The more helpless children feel, the less they dare to rebel
against their parents. She also dwelled on anxiety which she called basic anxiety. Basic anxiety is
a pervasive feeling of loneliness and helplessness, that becomes the foundation for neurosis. In
childhood we try to protect ourselves against basic anxiety by securing affection, being submissive,
attaining power, and by withdrawing. These self protective mechanisms serve the one goal of
defending basic anxiety. Karen also developed a list of ten neurotic needs. A neurotic need is an
irrational defense against anxiety that becomes a permanent part of personality and affects
behavior. Then ten neurotic needs are: affection and approval, a dominant partner, power,
exploitation, prestige, admiration, achievement and ambition, self sufficiency, perfection, narrow
limits to life. Developing these needs will not make us feel safe and secure but help us escape the
discomfort caused by
