Question Tag
 It is a common device in conversation is that of making a statement and at
once asking the listener to confirm it.
 Adding Question Tag:
 If the given sentence is positive ,add negative tag.
 If it is negative sentence ,add positive tag.
 As per the tense and subject add helping verb in tag.
 If there is helping verb in a given sentence , use it the same helping verb.
 If there is proper noun in a given sentence , use pronoun only in tag.
 After main statement ,use comma and use only contracted (short forms)forms
in tag.
 Use question mark at the end of the question tag.

 I. Main /Principal / Independent clause:
 Eg: If you work hard , you will get job .

II Unreal Conditional Sentence
 It is used when the action in the if-clause is thought unlikely
to happen .We also use it to talk
about unreal/imaginary situations in the present(if I were you).
Eg: If he were C.M., he would rule well.
If I were you ,I would give it up.
If she won lottery , she would donate money to the poor.
Frame: If + past simple(sub+V2+….,sub +
would/should/could/might+V1+…..

III Unfulfil Conditional Sentence
 It is used to indicate that something did not happen
because a certain condition was not fulfilled.
 Eg: (He did not invite me .So I did not attend the
meeting.)
 If he had invited me , I would have attended the
meeting.
 Frame: If + past perfect(sub+had+V3)+…..,Sub +
would/should/could/might/have+V3+…..

 It is used to express scientific/universal truths….
