Nuclear threats between each other. If they actually sent nuclear weapons then it

Khrushchev and it said no ships are allowed to carry offensive weapons to be

To begin Dante s trip to heaven to be with his one true love Beatrice, he must first
travel through hell. Directly through the gates of hell is the outlying regions of Hell,
or Ante inferno. This is the area that houses those who did not commit to good or
evil, but who lived their lives without making conscious moral choices. These souls
have been denied by both heaven and hell. This does not mean Ante inferno is much
more pleasant than hell. Souls here must constantly chase after blank banners while
flies and wasps constantly bite them and worms consume their blood and tears.
Neutral angels do the tormenting in this place. These are the angels that did not
choose God nor Satan in the war of heaven. This first punishment we see in our

Erlenmeyer flask and then placed on a steam bath. While the flask was being

was dissolved. The flask was let to cool down at room temperature until crystals
started to form, then the flask was placed into an ice bath. The compound was
filtered using a vacuum filtration apparatus and a Buchner funnel until crystals

Efficiency in College Placement Tests
After surveying 70,000 community college students, 40 percent of the students
reported they were placed into remedial classes due to their college placement scores
but received an A average in high school (Zinshteyn). The American College Testing
Program and Scholastic Assessment Test are two of these mandated college
placement tests for high school students. These tests supposedly determine how
successful a student will be in their future college courses; however, that concept is
completely wrong. These tests do not aid in a student s future success in college,
rather they discourage students from obtaining their goals. The ACT and SATtests are
not effective because they cause test anxiety, schools do not prepare students for the
contents located within these tests, and test scores do not reflect a student s
intelligence.
Text anxiety is afflicted upon many students who take the ACT and SAT. Students in
the 21st century are pressured to perform at their best level. These expectations are
not only active in the classroom, but also required for every test. With the added
pressure from students guardians and teachers, performing well on a test becomes
difficult, and when the test itself is already complex anxiety begins to form. Anxiety
creates a lot of problems for a student in the testing room such as: difficulty in
concentrating, thoughts becoming jumbled, forgetting everything they have learned,
and becoming more indecisive (Gotter). Test anxiety disables a student from
performing adequately, but the ACT and SAT are two strenuous college placement
tests that expect the most out of students. Because these tests add more anxiety, a
pressured student who is already anxious should not be expected to achieve high
scores, but they are expected to do so. Students are demanded to perform well on the
ACT and SAT but are not given the means they need to be able to meet this demand.
With this being said, the ACT and SAT cannot effectively test students.
In addition to anxiety, teachers do not inform their students of the information located

Contents Abstract This report contains details from three lab experiments performed
using a synchronous machine for both a motor and a generator. The fundamental
principle of a synchronous machine is that the electrical frequency is related to the
mechanical frequency. The first lab performed consisted of doing two different tests,
the open circuit and short circuit tests, respectively. By performing these two basic
tests, it can be determined the armature voltage and current changes drastically with

There are two primary synchronous machines, the synchronous generator and the
synchronous motor. Both machines are very useful depending on the application
necessary for their use. Depending on the external conditions, it is required to have
an understanding of how the synchronous machine should be modeled for each use.
The synchronous machine is commonly found in industrial settings, clocks, and
power plants. The common factor between these fields is the requirement of running
at a constant speed. The synchronous generators used in power plants are common
because it is economically efficient to keep the generator running at a constant
frequency. Depending on the application, the synchronous machines can be
modeled proportionally between the mechanical frequency based on the number of
poles and the frequency of current (see theory). Consequentially, the electrical
radian frequency is determined be the electrical frequency. Modeling a
synchronous machine is a simple task, provided the necessary parameters are
known. For this lab the model of the synchronous machine was already considered.
The synchronous machine being used had a rating of 208 V (line to line rms), 60
Hz, and 200 W. It is a 4 pole machine with a synchronous speed of 1800 RPM. The

Abstract
Syringe exchange programs seek to provide drug injection users with sterile syringes
in order to prevent the user from contracting blood borne diseases such as HIV/AIDs,
hepatitis B and hepatitis C. These programs are often controversial because they
provide injection drug users with the means to use illicit drugs. Syringe exchange
programs are based on the concept of harm reduction. It would be beneficial to
advocate for syringe programs within Canada because they provide Canada with
important services needed to protect public health. Syringe exchange programs can
help to decrease the number of HIV infections among drug injection users within
Canada and around the world.

yringe exchange programs are a very necessary service within Canada for which
we should advocated. Syringe exchange programs help to reduce HIV infection
rates among injection drug users while at the same time do not facilitate an increase
in drug use (Wodak, A., 2006, p. 837). Syringe exchange programs provide injection
drug users with sterile syringes for little to no cost (Zhang, S., Yan, P., Archibald, C.,
2004). Contracting blood borne diseases from sharing and using infected needles
contributes to the overall epidemic and can spread to populations outside of injection
drug users (Zhang, et al. 2004).

Cricket is a game that creates spell of magic and enchantment in five day cricket or
