The Holter Museum, in Helena, MT, is currently displaying a series of work by
John Saurer. Saurer received his BA at Hope College in sculpture and drawing, he
continued to earn his MFA at Colorado State University in sculpture, and has been
teaching art at St. Olaf College since 1995 (Saurer). His current exhibit is called
Across Tender Land and was inspired by Saurer s surroundings while growing up
(Shadow Casting). On piece, in particular, caught my eye. His Shadow Casting
sculptureis around 75 pieces of welded steel and charred wood composed into
different shapes mounted on a wall. When I first saw this piece, I found it
interesting, but as I got closer, sensored lights came on and caused each piece to
cast a shadow on the wall behind the sculpture. This piece of art reminded me the
incense burner that has been discussed in our book (Stokstad, 4 13). I was reminded
of the incense burner that was found in Prince Liu Shengs tomb in China. Each piece
was created to be viewed with the help of an other medium; smoke and light. Shadow
Casting becomes much more aesthetically pleasing when the light casts the shadow,
just as the incense burner becomes more aesthetically pleasing when it is viewed

I chose to complete the Psychology 1000 Mental Disorder Project on Attention
Deficit/ Hyper Activity Disorder because I was diagnosed with Predominately
Inattentive Attention Deficit Disorder at age 5 which caused me to struggle
academically all through grade school and into high school. I was given an
Individual Education Plan for mathematics in grade school that was supposed to help
me succeed but hardly did that because to this day I still cannot do math at a college

counterparts? Not so much. Why though? Why is it that video games can not

video games will never see the same commercial success as other mediums have:

Parallel Prefix Adder ( Ppa )
Abstract:
Parallel Prefix Adder (PPA) is one of the fastest types of adder that had been created
and developed. Some of the common types of parallel prefix adders are Brent Kung,
Kogge Stone, Han Carlson and Ladner Fischer adders. This paper involves an
investigation of the performances of these adders in terms of computational delay,
interconnect usage and power. The investigation and comparison for all these adders
was conducted for 8 bit size. By using the XILINX 14.5 design software, the designs
for above mentioned adders were developed. The simulation result produced the
vector waveform which then shows the computational delay; interconnect usage and
power for the adders. Hence, this project is significant in showing which of these
adders being tested perform better in terms of computational delay, interconnect
usage and power.

Disrespects Of Protesting In Democracy
Although Protesting is usually defined as a childish, or disrespectful act a better
definition would be to say it is a vital part to a democracy. A thin line is drawn
between the two definitions. People will tend to say protesting is disrespectful
because you are rebelling against those who provide and protect you . Others will
say it is the wrongful act of being childish because you are fighting someone of an
authority figure because you are not getting something you want. While people
actually protest to receive something that them or those around them need. However

UAB Women s Soccer traveled to El Paso, TX to face off against the University of
Texas at El Paso Lady Miners. The Lady Blazers started slow, but eventually found
their rhythm at the eight minute mark when senior Amy Brewer fired a shot just
wide of the goal. At the nine minute mark, UAB senior Rachel Green took a shot
that UTEP s Alyssa Palacios saved. UTEP attacked UAB with both headers and
shots from corner kicks. However, UAB s junior goalkeeper Kelsey Daugherty

29. The UAB Men s Soccer team traveled to Norfolk, VA to play against the Old
Dominion University Monarchs. The Blazers started slow with the Monarchs
taking over the ball. After a foul and corner kick, ODU s Niko Klosterhalfen fired a
high header shot, just missing the goal. ODU and UAB played a game of
possession,and the Monarch s Brandon Perdue attempted a shot, but it was
blocked. UAB s senior David Valverde attempted a shot, which ODU s goalkeeper
Mertcan Akar saved at the 13 minute mark. After a corner kick and header shot
