MEASUREMENT
1. Inch – it is the width of the thumb.
2. Digit – it is the width of the middle finger (about ¾ inch).
3. Palm – it is the width of 4 fingers (about 3 inches).
4. Span – it is the distance covered by the spread hand ( about 9 inches).
5. Foot – it is the length of the foot.
6. Cubit – it is the distance from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger
(about 18 inches).
7. Yard – it is the distance from the center of the body to the fingertips of the
outstretched arm (about 36 inches).
8. Fathom – it is the distance spanned by the outstretched arms (about 72
inches).
