GRADE 7 & 8
INTEGRATED
SCIENCE PROGRAM
Modular system
Overview
It is the Science curriculum taught
in four distinct modules.
Four modules:
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
Experimental
Science
Curriculum Content & Materials
“Complete Biology/Chemistry/Physics for
Cambridge” series – endorsed by
Cambridge International Examinations.
Content is selected to “bridge” the
knowledge and skills gap between
primary school to IGCSE level.
Laboratory and research-based skills will
be introduced – Internal assessment and
extended essay (IB)
Benefits
Module will be taught by specialist
teachers who are well-versed in the
requirements of IGCSE and/or IB.
–Curriculum will be scaffolded to IGCSE
and eventually IB.
–Curriculum will respond quicker to
changes of IGCSE and IB curriculum
–Students will be familiar with teaching
styles of teachers at IGCSE and IB since
they are likely to be taught by the same
teachers
Benefits
Students will have a good
understanding of the nature of the
various sciences;
- Students will discover their strength
and weakness
- Students will be clearer in choosing
their IGCSE Science(s) and IB
Science(s)
Testimony
“Sir, I want to thank you for
implementing the integrated science at
year 7. I made the right decision in
selecting IGCSE Physics and Physics
HL.”
“Mr. Lee, thanks for making the
various sciences clearer. Now I know
which science I am strong in”
