Speaker: Joško Ivankov; SharePoint has a large number of options, which is great because it covers a lot functionality, but it also presents a problem in choosing the right functionality for a particular purpose, and also the order of implementation. In this session, based on our practical experience in many implementations of intranet (T-HT, Podravka, HEP, Zagreb airport…) and business applications on SharePoint, we will propose the best way for the introduction of SharePoint in your organization. You will find out quick wins in implementing SharePoint that users will love, and how to set up the basic structure and integration for future (sure) growth of SharePoint implementation.

Auto-classification removes a burden from IT teams and end users. But what and where is the content being classified? Then what happens? Auto-classification not only organizes your content but also provides an environment where information governance and compliance policies, and processes, can be implemented enterprise-wide. With automatic multi-term metadata generation and powerful taxonomy tools, the positive impact on your business is quickly realized. As well as the visible impact of search improvement, the elimination of end user tagging reduces both productivity drain and tagging errors, to safeguard information that should be protected, such as confidential information or records. Find out how to clean up, optimize, and organize your enterprise content, providing a framework for effective records management. * Metadata generation – why it is so important * Auto-classification – why you can’t live without it * Taxonomy approaches that are manageable – by the staff you already have

Are you successfully managing your unstructured content? Have you quantified the risks and costs of not proactively managing your content? Did you know that you can dramatically improve search, eDiscovery, security, records management, migration, collaboration, text analytics, and business social applications, just by getting your unstructured content in order? Learn how to effectively clean up, optimize, and organize your file share content. There are key solutions built on core technology platforms that will enable you to achieve these improvements. The conceptClassifier for SharePoint and conceptClassifier for Office 365 platforms automatically generate multi-term metadata that form concepts. Imagine it – eliminating end user tagging. And the conceptClassifier for File Shares utility makes file shares discoverable, searchable, optimized, and organized. It automatically tags and classifies documents to a term set, for improving search and eDiscovery, and preparing content for migration. Auto-classification and one natively integrated taxonomy/Term Store, available on-premises, in the cloud, or in a hybrid environment, provide the backdrop for a single enterprise search, regardless of where end users are located. Tackle information governance and standardize processes across the entire enterprise. The team from C/D/H provided the knowledge, planning, and optimization to intelligently migrate the manufacturer’s content from on-premises Search 2013 to the Office 365 Hybrid Search platform, using Concept Searching’s new utility, conceptClassifier for Hybrid Search. The solution allows any of the 40,000 users to search 20 million documents from over 30 content sources, securely and within seconds. It leveraged the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, which reduced the required infrastructure tenfold, while improving performance and reducing complexity in the digital workplace. Presented at the Triangle SharePoint User Group (TRISPUG.com) on October 7, 2014. While many people see the intranet as a pretty (hopefully) homepage, in reality the modern enterprise intranet is a complex animal of many moving parts. Structuring of the information within the intranet, how that information is presented to the user, how the user interacts with it, how the organization manages it, and the physical branding that sits on top of all of it are all critical conversations to have if an intranet is going to be effective. In this session we’ll explore the building blocks of a successful intranet and discuss common intranet pitfalls to avoid on your next intranet roll-out.

Search has become one of the most critical functionality in today’s world, as the end users rely on it to get to the result in the quickest way. SharePoint is one such platform on which we can leverage the ‘Search’ features. Searching for a particular word or phrase often yields hundreds and thousands of search results for users. Search in SharePoint 2013 has enabled users to find relevant information more quickly and easily than ever before. Combining the capabilities of SharePoint 2010 along with numerous improvements, ‘Search’ feature in SharePoint 2013 has been optimized to deliver more accurate information. SharePoint 2013 has helped developers to add more context-specific refiners to help the user further reduce the result set. The webinar session will discuss how ‘Search’ in SharePoint 2013 has been enhanced to provide users with a consistent stream of relevant information, and how it helps the end-user.

Presented at the Content Management Strategies/DITA North America conference in 2016; this version is from a repeat of the presentation in webinar form, and includes some additional slides. Lightweight DITA is being developed at OASIS by a subcommittee of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee. It is designed to make adoption of DITA easier for both users and tool developers. The subcommittee is looking at usage scenarios in areas such as marketing, education, software development, and machine industries. The goals of the (in-development) specification are: - simplified topic and map definitions with tighter content models and fewer elements - simplified specialization process that makes new specializations as easy to create as new topics - multi-format content, with mappings to not only XML, but also markdown, HTML5, and JSON Michael Priestley shares the current state of the lightweight DITA specification, focusing on the current draft document types for topic and map, and reviews the lightweight specialization process.

The ongoing trend of information disciplines coming closer together is continuing – with Information Governance serving as a new connective tissue for Privacy, Compliance, and eDiscovery. As the pace of information overload continues to grow, now more than ever, professionals in each of these disciplines are becoming more reliant on automation—and strong processes for successful collaboration and results. Learn from top experts in these fields, (Nick Inglis, Director of Information Governance, IPRO; Linn Freedman, Chair Privacy & Cybersecurity Team at Robinson + Cole; Adjunct Professor Brown University and Roger Williams Law School) as they discuss the impact of information overload, the continuation of the convergence of disciplines, and the strategies for process automation in each of these information disciplines.

AI/ML Infra Meetup May. 23, 2024 Organized by Alluxio For more Alluxio Events: https://www.alluxio.io/events/ Speaker: - Junchen Jiang (Assistant Professor of Computer Science, @University of Chicago) Prefill in LLM inference is known to be resource-intensive, especially for long LLM inputs. While better scheduling can mitigate prefill’s impact, it would be fundamentally better to avoid (most of) prefill. This talk introduces our preliminary effort towards drastically minimizing prefill delay for LLM inputs that naturally reuse text chunks, such as in retrieval-augmented generation. While keeping the KV cache of all text chunks in memory is difficult, we show that it is possible to store them on cheaper yet slower storage. By improving the loading process of the reused KV caches, we can still significantly speed up prefill delay while maintaining the same generation quality.

AI/ML Infra Meetup May. 23, 2024 Organized by Alluxio For more Alluxio Events: https://www.alluxio.io/events/ Speaker: - Lu Qiu (Data & AI Platform Tech Lead, @Alluxio) - Siyuan Sheng (Senior Software Engineer, @Alluxio) Speed and efficiency are two requirements for the underlying infrastructure for machine learning model development. Data access can bottleneck end-to-end machine learning pipelines as training data volume grows and when large model files are more commonly used for serving. For instance, data loading can constitute nearly 80% of the total model training time, resulting in less than 30% GPU utilization. Also, loading large model files for deployment to production can be slow because of slow network or storage read operations. These challenges are prevalent when using popular frameworks like PyTorch, Ray, or HuggingFace, paired with cloud object storage solutions like S3 or GCS, or downloading models from the HuggingFace model hub. In this presentation, Lu and Siyuan will offer comprehensive insights into improving speed and GPU utilization for model training and serving. You will learn: - The data loading challenges hindering GPU utilization - The reference architecture for running PyTorch and Ray jobs while reading data from S3, with benchmark results of training ResNet50 and BERT - Real-world examples of boosting model performance and GPU utilization through optimized data access

AI/ML Infra Meetup May. 23, 2024 Organized by Alluxio For more Alluxio Events: https://www.alluxio.io/events/ Speaker: - Eric Wang (Software Engineer, @Uber) Uber has numerous deep learning models, most of which are highly complex with many layers and a vast number of features. Understanding how these models work is challenging and demands significant resources to experiment with various training algorithms and feature sets. With ML explainability, the ML team aims to bring transparency to these models, helping to clarify their predictions and behavior. This transparency also assists the operations and legal teams in explaining the reasons behind specific prediction outcomes. In this talk, Eric Wang will discuss the methods Uber used for explaining deep learning models and how we integrated these methods into the Uber AI Michelangelo ecosystem to support offline explaining.

The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) has suffered an alleged data breach after a notorious threat actor claimed to have exfiltrated data from its systems. Infamous data leaker IntelBroker posted on the even more infamous BreachForums hacking forum, saying that Europol suffered a data breach this month. The alleged breach affected Europol agencies CCSE, EC3, Europol Platform for Experts, Law Enforcement Forum, and SIRIUS. Infiltration of these entities can disrupt ongoing investigations and compromise sensitive intelligence shared among international law enforcement agencies. However, this is neither the first nor the last activity of IntekBroker. We have compiled for you what happened in the last few days.
