Google’s Background In 1996, Stanford Univ. graduate students Larry Page and Sergey Brin built a search engine called “BackRub”. It used links to determine the importance of individual web pages. By 1998 their work was formalized, creating the company known today as Google.

Challenges faced by Google The main challenge Google has faced is Mobile devices that put added pressure on Google and other Internet companies to revamp the way they handle online marketing.
Google’s Themes Simplicity of content within the complex worldwide market Always adapting, ever expanding, never complaining Customer’s mind is always in our mind first Focus on the user and all else will follow Fast is better than slow Use democracy of the web
Key Components of Google Advertising with Adwords, Social media, websites, blogs, PR, commerce, creating more accessible Apps by Google, expanding the places to show ads to increase revenue, expanding advertising reach through AdSense contextual ad network, Aquiring more properties that serve as venues for ads, such as Blogger and YouTube, command attention with search ads, and seek to create similar relevance with other forms of advertising, add more rank search ad bases such as bid price and clickthrough rate, pioneer new offering that attract audiences for ads, such as Gmail or DoubleClick
