We work with Foundations, Charities, Government and non-Governmental organizations to supply homes, schools, medical centres and other structures for people who live in slums, remote area's or nothing at all.

ALIF Partners led a five-month consultation with SLFN membership; this included talking circles, a listening campaign, and numerous meetings with Elders, youth and other members as well as Ft Smith officials, territorial, provincial and federal officials. Through these meetings and extensive research ALIF identified 80+ opportunities the band could move on and developed an easy to use tool that band could use to score opportunities.

Communities are only as strong and vibrant as the people who live in them. So when you come across extraordinary people doing remarkable things, and those actions spread like a friendly virus to others, you end up with something quite magical and powerful: Extraordinary Communities.
The pages of this book celebrate projects and ideas big and small, some simple some not so simple. Some require time, commitment and tenacity. All are driven by a passion and a belief in doing something good. These are ordinary people who chatted in pubs, cafes or at the school gates and asked – ‘What if…?’ ‘We really need a…’ or ‘Why don’t we…?’ And then – this is the extraordinary bit – they did it.
A report on how to improve people's quality of life on new housing developments, with 8 practical recommendations for councils, developers and community organisations.
6. YEAR: 1993 GRANT: $250,000 grant from the Arco Corp. OBJECTIVE: Solving some of the pressing housing problems for the homeless OUTCOME: November 5, 1993 Dome Village (originally known as Genesis One) opened it’s doors for the homeless in Los Angeles, California. EXISTENCE: Dome Village existed for over 11 years. SUCCESS: Dome Village was the launch pad for many so called lost homeless people to re-enter the community. ATTENTION: The successes had been attracting attention both nationally and internationally with visits from HRH Prince Edward of England, The Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum as well as government and business dignitaries from various parts of the world.

8. Provide access to information and resources to assist client's transition out of homelessness.
9. Create jobs and incentives for village residents which can provide them with an opportunity to earn extra income, increase their self-esteem and work ethic, and to better their immediate community.

Clean and beautify the local neighborhood by regularly removing trash, debris, weeds and graffiti from the surrounding area; improve the aesthetics and atmosphere of the area by creating a park-and-garden setting at Dome Village for residents, neighbors and other visitors to appreciate while at the same time instilling a sense of appreciation for a clean and green environment.
