It is important to maintain oil properties within the recommended standards to prevent weakening of cellulose insulation by products of oil degradation. Since the life of the transformer is determent by the state of cellulose insulation, intervention is necessary to prevent sludge from destructing chemical bonds which hold the cellulose together. Oil Regeneration allows to remove sludge (which is formed as a result of oil degradation (aging) and consists mainly of acids, aldehydes and peroxides), improve acidity level and decrease oil’s ability to dissolve gases.

Vacuum cold trap pulls vacuum on 110-1150 kV transformers and dries solid insulation inside.

The unit is used with transformers capable of 26 Pa pressure. The unit can be used with transformers with

Mobile oil unit СММ-Т removes solid contaminants and water from insulating, transformer, industrial
turbine and compressor oils. Viscosity range of oil is 73-280 mm²/second at 50 °С. Unit has oil heating

The vacuum column of the unit contains numerous polypropylene rings. Contaminated oil flows through the
rings to create an extra-thin layer of oil with a continuously changing surface. Vacuum decreases partial

The СММ-А unit features a vacuum column that does not use fine dispersal or thin film insets for drying the
oil. Instead, the oil is dried in an activator filter, which divides the oil flow into two streams.
Oil is subjected to vacuum when spread over the extended surface of propylene fibers in the activator filter.

32. CMM-P (PPM) MOBILE OIL UNITS
Mobile oil unit СММ-P (Oil continuous heaters – PPM) is designed for transformer oil heating while filling
and/or replacing oil, as well as drying the transformer.
CMM-P is used for mineral, industrial, turbine and other oils as well as for liquid heating. Aforementioned
oils and liquids should be of less than 70 cSt kinematical viscosity at the temperature of 50°C. CMM-P is
also used for heating of petroleum products in the petroleum refining industry, and can also be used for

BRPS PLANT
The BRPS plant (sorbent regeneration and preparation block) is designed for absorbent (moisture) removal
from the sorbent by means of thermal desorption enabled by special electric heaters.
The BRPS framework necessitates direct connection to the vessel, resulting in removal of mechanical
compounds and scattering of sorbent, causing destruction of the sorbent. The block enables optimal rapidity of
temperature increase as well as the regular temperature field while regenerating the sorbent.
