Globalization refers to increasing global connectivity and interdependence in cultural, political and economic spheres. Some key aspects of globalization include the liberalization of trade, the expansion of multinational corporations and markets, increased population mobility, and the growth of technology and its applications across borders. For Bangladesh, globalization has influenced the economy through the spread of development philosophies promoting reduced state intervention and privatization, as well as through financial policies, international trade and investment, and digital transformation. However, globalization also presents challenges for Bangladesh like unequal competition, issues of sovereignty, and threats like brain drain and terrorism.
