What does mean by ‘Global warming’?
Is the increase of the earth’s average surface temperature due to a build-up of
greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
What does mean by ‘Climate change’?
Is a broader term that refers to long-term changes in climate, including average
temperature and precipitation.
‘Global warming’ as well as ‘Climate change’
Two types of negative impacts which
causes global warming as well as
climate change.
Natural Causes-
1. Volcanic eruptions
2. Sunspots & solar cycle
3. Wobbly earth
4. Forest fire
5. CH4 emissions
Manmade Causes-
1. Transportation
2. Electricity production
3. Industrial emissions
4. Commercial & residential emissions
5. Agriculture
6. Land use & forestry
Natural causes
Volcanic eruptions inject ash and
aerosol clouds into the
atmosphere and produce more
than 100 million tons of carbon
dioxide each year.
1. Volcanic eruptions:-
Natural causes
Where there is sunlight and
space, solar energy is accessible.
Most of our energy comes from
burning fossil fuels, a process that
emits carbon dioxide, a
greenhouse gas (GHG). GHGs trap
and add extra heat to the global
system in ways that is changing
the climate.
2. Sunspots & solar cycle:-
Natural causes
Earth's orbital cycles are 20,000
years long—or longer. They cannot
explain global warming occurring
over a single century.
Measurements show that incoming
solar radiation has not increased
over the last century to drive rising
temperatures. Instead, greenhouse
gas emissions are responsible.
3. Wobbly earth:-
Natural causes
Natural forest fires, especially
large scale ones over long
periods, can have an impact on
the global temperature. When
the vegetation burns, there is
release of stored carbon and an
increase in green house gasses
like carbon dioxide into the
atmosphere.
4. Forest fire:-
Natural causes
Methane can come from many sources, both natural and manmade. The largest
source of industrial emissions is the oil and gas industry.
Besides, methane emission rates on sheep and dairy cows have repeatedly shown
that the variability of emissions between individual animals is large.
5. CH4 emissions:-
Manmade causes
Greenhouse gas emissions from
transportation primarily come
from burning fossil fuel for our
cars, trucks, ships, trains, and
planes. Over 90 percent of the
fuel used for transportation is
petroleum based, which includes
primarily gasoline and diesel.

(28.9% of 2017)
Manmade causes
Electricity production generates
the second largest share of
greenhouse gas emissions.
Approximately 62.9 percent of
our electricity comes from
burning fossil fuels, mostly coal
and natural gas.
2. Electricity production:-
(27.5% of 2017)
Manmade causes
Greenhouse gas emissions from
industry primarily come from
burning fossil fuels for energy, as
well as greenhouse gas
emissions from certain chemical
reactions necessary to produce
goods from raw materials.
3. Industrial emissions:-
(22.2% of 2017)
Manmade causes
Greenhouse gas emissions
from businesses and homes
arise primarily from fossil
fuels burned for heat, the
use of certain products that
contain greenhouse gases,
and the handling of waste.
4. Commercial & residential
emissions:-
(11.6% of 2017)
Manmade causes
Greenhouse gas emissions
from agriculture come from
livestock such as cows,
agricultural soils, and rice
production.
5. Agriculture:-
(9.0% of 2017)
Manmade causes
Land areas can act as a sink
(absorbing CO2 from the
atmosphere) or a source of
greenhouse gas emissions. In
the United States, since 1990,
managed forests and other
lands have absorbed more
CO2 from the atmosphere
than they emit.
6. Land use & forestry:-
(11.1% of 2017)

Preventing global warming
We can lastly notify that human beings are mostly responsible for this
climate change as well as global warming. So, we should take some
steps to stop it.
We can-
Use Renewable Energy More
Recycle more
Use less Fossile Fuel
Avoid products with a lot of packaging
Adjust our thermostat
Plant a tree
Burn less Plastic
Global warming and climate change.

Global warming and climate change.

  • 2. What does mean by ‘Global warming’? Is the increase of the earth’s average surface temperature due to a build-up of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. What does mean by ‘Climate change’? Is a broader term that refers to long-term changes in climate, including average temperature and precipitation.
  • 3. ‘Global warming’ as well as ‘Climate change’ Two types of negative impacts which causes global warming as well as climate change. Natural Causes- 1. Volcanic eruptions 2. Sunspots & solar cycle 3. Wobbly earth 4. Forest fire 5. CH4 emissions Manmade Causes- 1. Transportation 2. Electricity production 3. Industrial emissions 4. Commercial & residential emissions 5. Agriculture 6. Land use & forestry
  • 4. Natural causes Volcanic eruptions inject ash and aerosol clouds into the atmosphere and produce more than 100 million tons of carbon dioxide each year. 1. Volcanic eruptions:-
  • 5. Natural causes Where there is sunlight and space, solar energy is accessible. Most of our energy comes from burning fossil fuels, a process that emits carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas (GHG). GHGs trap and add extra heat to the global system in ways that is changing the climate. 2. Sunspots & solar cycle:-
  • 6. Natural causes Earth's orbital cycles are 20,000 years long—or longer. They cannot explain global warming occurring over a single century. Measurements show that incoming solar radiation has not increased over the last century to drive rising temperatures. Instead, greenhouse gas emissions are responsible. 3. Wobbly earth:-
  • 7. Natural causes Natural forest fires, especially large scale ones over long periods, can have an impact on the global temperature. When the vegetation burns, there is release of stored carbon and an increase in green house gasses like carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. 4. Forest fire:-
  • 8. Natural causes Methane can come from many sources, both natural and manmade. The largest source of industrial emissions is the oil and gas industry. Besides, methane emission rates on sheep and dairy cows have repeatedly shown that the variability of emissions between individual animals is large. 5. CH4 emissions:-
  • 9. Manmade causes Greenhouse gas emissions from transportation primarily come from burning fossil fuel for our cars, trucks, ships, trains, and planes. Over 90 percent of the fuel used for transportation is petroleum based, which includes primarily gasoline and diesel. 1. Transportation:- (28.9% of 2017)
  • 10. Manmade causes Electricity production generates the second largest share of greenhouse gas emissions. Approximately 62.9 percent of our electricity comes from burning fossil fuels, mostly coal and natural gas. 2. Electricity production:- (27.5% of 2017)
  • 11. Manmade causes Greenhouse gas emissions from industry primarily come from burning fossil fuels for energy, as well as greenhouse gas emissions from certain chemical reactions necessary to produce goods from raw materials. 3. Industrial emissions:- (22.2% of 2017)
  • 12. Manmade causes Greenhouse gas emissions from businesses and homes arise primarily from fossil fuels burned for heat, the use of certain products that contain greenhouse gases, and the handling of waste. 4. Commercial & residential emissions:- (11.6% of 2017)
  • 13. Manmade causes Greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture come from livestock such as cows, agricultural soils, and rice production. 5. Agriculture:- (9.0% of 2017)
  • 14. Manmade causes Land areas can act as a sink (absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere) or a source of greenhouse gas emissions. In the United States, since 1990, managed forests and other lands have absorbed more CO2 from the atmosphere than they emit. 6. Land use & forestry:- (11.1% of 2017)

  • 16. Preventing global warming We can lastly notify that human beings are mostly responsible for this climate change as well as global warming. So, we should take some steps to stop it. We can- Use Renewable Energy More Recycle more Use less Fossile Fuel Avoid products with a lot of packaging Adjust our thermostat Plant a tree Burn less Plastic
