Purpose: To examine the process and impact of developing an integrated, web-based dashboard for Health Information Systems Data: With the technical assistance from the USAID funded Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) program implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., the Sindh Department of Health has developed an integrated on-line health information dashboard, linking all vertical program Management and Information Systems (MIS), and documenting all Lady Health Workers (LHW). Methods: In addition to supporting dashboard development, HSS has focused on improving the quality of data that is being generated through the routine health information system. The approach adopted by HSS includes direct support to staff working at on-line data entry points so that accurate and complete information is recorded. HSS also provides infrastructure support to district M&E cells. Results: The dashboard consolidates data from existing DHIS, MNCH-MIS and other vertical programs databases, all of which are supervised by the district M&E Cells. This integrated dashboard serves as the provincial dashboard and is fully interoperable with the DHIS and M&E systems in Sindh. As the project has matured, data quality continues to be improved. Discussion and Policy Recommendations: This online system resulted in desk-based, real-time data monitoring, through data dashboards and visual displays. Currently, online data of all public health facilities and in all districts across Sindh province is in place, and is being used for decision making. Health managers can review the performance of each and every health facility and provide feedback to improve the quality of data for achieving the desired targets.

A Data Centric Approach to Driving Supply Chain Efficiency in IndonesiaJSI
This poster was presented by Hery Firdaus and Bethany Saad at the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) in Kigali, Rwanda in November 2018.
Over the past decade, Indonesia’s contraceptive prevalence rate has remained stagnant, to reinvigorate family planning services in Indonesia The National Population & Family Planning Board (BKKBN) is working to ensure that women can choose from a variety of contraceptive methods as part of a “Right Method, Right Time, My Choice” strategy. One challenge to this strategy is inconsistent access to the full range of contraceptives, especially long acting contraceptives, at service delivery points (SDP).
Having a reliable, responsive supply chain that delivers quality contraceptives to service delivery points when and where they are needed is critical to ensuring the success of this strategy. JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) as part of the My Choice Project has been working with BKKBN to address the supply chain challenges.
Can contraceptive availability be improved by strengthening organizational supply chain capacity, multi-level collaboration, and data visibility and use? To achieve this the intervention package included
1) strengthening organizational capacity by redesigning standard processes and developing training tools such as video tutorials and mobile apps
2) improved multi-level collaboration through quality improvement techniques, mentorship, and on-the-job training and
3) improving data visibility, quality, and use through accurate logistics records and reports, creating an inventory management and monitoring tool that facilitates easy decision making, guides stock distribution to maintain adequate stock levels, and monitors overall performance of the supply chain.
Preliminary end line evaluation results suggest that the intervention package has improved supply chain performance and reduced stock outs, especially in areas where the full package was implemented.

Ambition for the countries should be to move towards the “analysis” phase (predictive analytics/data modeling) from "reporting" phase to gain more insight from routine data and at the same time, create a learning environment to enhance epidemiology and statistical literacy, and to gear towards a more cultured and collaborative government approach to quality data production, analytics, visualization, use and communication. Integration of implementation research and evaluation on digital health solutions into country’s data roadmap to measure its’ usability, efficacy, effectiveness and return on investments will also remain critical to achieving the SDGs.
International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) organized a three days Training Workshop on ‘Monitoring and Evaluation Methods’ on 10-12 March 2014 in New Delhi, India. The workshop is part of an IFAD grant to IFPRI to partner in the Monitoring and Evaluation component of the ongoing projects in the region. The three day workshop is intended to be a collaborative affair between project directors, M & E leaders and M & E experts. As part of the workshop, detailed interaction will take place on the evaluation routines involving sampling, questionnaire development, data collection and management techniques and production of an evaluation report. The workshop is designed to better understand the M & E needs of various projects that are at different stages of implementation. Both the generic issues involved in M & E programs as well as project specific needs will be addressed in the workshop. The objective of the workshop is to come up with a work plan for M & E domains in the IFAD projects and determine the possibilities of collaboration between IFPRI and project leaders.
Softworks (www.softworksbd.com), a Bangladeshi software development company who are working on developing innovative applications in smartphone - iPhone/iPAD, Android, Windows & J2ME development and interactive Dashboard: Charts & Maps from any database/XML feed to overlay of data on Divisional/District/Upazila/Constituency Maps. Currently Softworks is working as an IT services subcontractor of Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems (SPS) program of Bangladesh for Management Science for Health (MSH) funded by USAID who are providing MIS services to maintain DGFP procurement and logistics system a network of 21 warehouses and 483 Upazila stores.
Our global logistics client was challenged by its inability to support their communications initiatives leveraging established campaign systems. Their existing marketing infrastructure was not well designed to support targeted campaigns, and due to the complex nature of their data and systems our client had limited visibility into their campaign performance tracking and advertising spend.
