His father’s name was George H.W. Bush.  His father was a U. S. Representative, the vice president of the United States, and the president of the United States of America. His mother’s name was Barbara Bush. George’s Parents
George’s Birth George Bush was born on July 6, 1946. He was the oldest of six children. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut.
In 1968, he received a bachelor's degree in history from Yale University.  Bush was only an average student though, and he did not excel in athletics. In 1975, after receiving his M.B.A.(a master's degree in business) from Harvard, Bush returned to Midland, where he grew up as a kid. George’s College Years
He began working for a Bush family friend, an oil and gas attorney, and later started his own oil and gas business. Then in 1977, Bush got married to Laura Welch. Laura was a teacher and librarian. Bush Gets Married
In 1978, Bush had an unsuccessful run for Congress. After that devoted himself to building his business. After the sale of his company, Bush moved to Dallas, where he and a former business partner organized a group of investors to purchase the Texas Rangers professional baseball team. Although Bush's investment was relatively small, his role as managing partner of the team brought him much exposure in the media and earned him a reputation as a successful businessman. When Bush's partnership sold the team in 1998, Bush received nearly $15 million. George Buys The Texas Rangers
In 1994, Bush challenged Democrat Ann Richards for the governorship of Texas.  In 1991, Bush won the election for governor of Texas. George As Governor of Texas
In June, 1999, Bush announced his candidacy for the Republican  presidential nomination. He won the Republican nomination. 	His running mate was Dick Cheney. Bush hardly won the election,  but he did becoming the 43rd president of the United States.	Dick Cheney George Bush For President
On September 11, 2001, Bush faced a crisis that would transform his presidency. That morning, four American airplanes were hijacked by terrorists. Two of the planes crashed into the twin towers in New York City, destroying both towers and collapsing or damaging many surrounding buildings, and a third was used to destroy part of the Pentagon building outside Washington, D.C., the fourth plane crashed outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after passengers fought back trying to retake the plane. The crashes—the worst terrorist incident on U.S. soil—killed some 3,000 people. The September 11th Attack
In 2004, Bush focused on his campaign for reelection against his Democratic challenger, U.S. Senator John Kerry. Bush was reelection for president of the United States. George Bush Is Reelected
Since George Bush has retired from being president he has been living in Dallas, Texas. He has also been helping out people after disasters like the earthquake in Haiti.  After His Presidency
