Bill Clinton was born in 1946 in Hope, Arkansas. His father died before he was born and he was raised by his mother and stepfather. He became interested in politics after meeting John F. Kennedy as a teenager. Clinton graduated from Yale Law School and became a professor before being elected Attorney General and later Governor of Arkansas, a position he held for over a decade. In 1992, Clinton was elected President, defeating George H.W. Bush, and served for two terms until 2001. After leaving office, Clinton lived in New York and supported his wife Hillary's political career, including her election to the U.S. Senate.
