The poster depicts half a face on broken glass merging with a skeletal face behind the glass, creating an ominous and unnerving image. The dark, shadowy colors and lighting emphasize this unsettling feeling. While the glowing font hints at supernatural elements, the slogan "rest in pieces" hints at violent death. This lack of information about the characters or plot creates mystery and intrigue for the audience.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

2. The Final Destination-Film Poster
The film poster denotes the top half of the face
of a character on broken glass and the other
half of the face shown looks like it belongs to a
skeleton that is behind the glass. The eyes of the
character on the glass cannot be seen, they
are in shadow. The lower half of the face fades
into shadow. This makes the characters seem
ominous and would make the audience want
to know what or who the characters are
because you can not make out their faces
clearly. If looked at as if it were one face, the
character looks to be screaming or in pain.
3. The Final Destination-Film Poster
The colours in the poster are monotonous. These colours
are associated with darkness and horror because of how
hard it is to know what is out in the night. This can create
an unnerving feeling. The use of lighting helps to enforce
this because it highlights the shadows.
The font used in sans serif. It is bright and looks as though
it is glowing. This has connotation of the supernatural. The
slogan at the top ‘rest in pieces’ would make the
audience feel uncomfortable due to how in it is a play
on the tern rest in piece which refers to a person who has
passed away. The slogan used suggests that there will be
violent deaths involved in the film.
The use of shattered glass creates a sense of danger due
to how it can be used as a weapon.
4. Expected but missing information
The poster doesn’t reveal much detail about plot
or about the main characters. Also it doesn’t show
who the protagonist and antagonist are.
5. Enigma and Mystery
An enigma is created with how the audience
cannot tell what the characters in the poster looks
like or their identity. Also the audience doesn’t
know their situation of relationship. This would
make the audience want to see the film to find
out. Moreover with the connotations of death the
audience would want to watch the film to see
who dies and who kills them. They may want to
see whether the characters on the poster will be
apart of the death.
6. Genre
The film belongs to the genre of horror. The use of
visuals help to show this. For example the slogan at
the top of the poster has connotations of death
which is often a huge part of the genre. The poster
creates suspense the connotation of death created.
