KILLERS IN HORROR
FILMS
KILLERS
In horror films the killer acts as the
protagonist even though the audience
does not always know their identity. They
are made to appear unhuman which is
usually achieved by them wearing masks
are with some disfigurement. The killers most
likely will use everyday objects that can be
found at home as a weapon. This creates a
realistic and frightening image for
audiences as it is more personal.
Killers are seen as sadistic or psychotic. They
enjoy seeing pain. When they kill they do so
violently and aggressively. This is so that they
can be up close and see the person as they
die. There are usually known for having a
troubled backstory that acts as motivation
for their murders. It influences how the
murder is carried out. Also the victims the
killer chooses often have done something
that goes against basic morals. They are
killed due to this.

Killers in horror films

  • 2. KILLERS In horror films the killer acts as the protagonist even though the audience does not always know their identity. They are made to appear unhuman which is usually achieved by them wearing masks are with some disfigurement. The killers most likely will use everyday objects that can be found at home as a weapon. This creates a realistic and frightening image for audiences as it is more personal.

There are usually known for having a troubled backstory that acts as motivation for their murders. It influences how the murder is carried out. Also the victims the killer chooses often have done something that goes against basic morals. They are killed due to this.
