Gauss’s Law
Introduction
Gauss’s law relates electric field to the
charge distribution producing that field.
Gauss’s law gives us much easier way to
calculate electric field then Coulomb’s
law
Gauss’s law deals with the electric field
and concept of electric field lines is
central concept for studying Gauss’s
Law
Bases of Gauss’s Law
Flux through any closed
surface is measure of
total amount of charge
inside it
Any charge outside the
surface would not
contribute to the total
flux
