• It can have any term having constants ,variable
and exponents but the exponents should be
whole number
• So all these are polynomial
x+1 , 5 , 5-x, 11x –y3 , x+y+z
1+2y+2y2 ,1 .2 x +y , 6x-2

If S(x)=0 It is called zero polynomial
If S(x) =a0 It is called constant
