3. INTRODUCTION…
 To live 100 years life is the desire of every human
being.
 But sedentary life, increased use of antibiotics and
immuno- suppressive drugs, the quality of life get
affected.
 Anti-oxidants – Rasayana foods, herbs and
regimens helps to re-establish this balance.

4. RASAYANA…
 Rasayana should be used for
1. Maintaining health
2. Prevention of diseases and old age
3. To avoid the recurrence of diseases.
 Rasayana has preventive as well as curative
effects.

 Shodhita Parada when used as medicine balances all
the three doshas, has soothing effect on the body and
prevents chronic disease and old age.
 Apart from Parada there are lot of minerals and metals
with Rasayana properties.
 In the field of Rasayana, Gandhaka comes after Parada.


With Madhu for 3 months
करोतत लोचनदवयिं ववकशश गृध्रनेत्रवत्
Cures dharuna rogas.
Pathya :
Shashtikashali with dugdha and sarkara, and
other sheeta virya dravya.

Dhatu Kshayajanya Koshta roga, Prameha etc
During this period person should avoid Kshara, Lavana,
Amla rasa foods, anger, worry and sex

18. CONCLUSION…
 Benfits of Rasayana therapy is increase in body
strength(Deha bala), Prabha, Varna, Kanti, Vaksidhi.
 By judicious use of these kalpas, the person attains
all Rasyana gunas and also cures many of the
chronic diseases.
 So Gandhaka kalpas has shown that most of them
are effective in skin conditions especially in
enhancing the complexion. Hence this is a field to be
exploited in the present era of beauty conscious.
