הקונספט העומד מאחורי חלל העבודה אותו מציעה WeWork, המציעה ליזמים במחיר של שולחן את כל ״ההטבות״ מסביבו, הכוללות חיבור לאינטרנט, חשמל, מים, ארנונה, ניקיון, ניהול, שירותי מזכירות, הדפסה וכמובן האלמנטים החשובים ביותר לתהליך העבודה: בירות, מים וקפה.
החלק השני בקונספט של החברה, הוא יצירת קהילה תומכת סביב חלל העבודה. כלומר, בעוד שלכל אחד מהיזמים יש משרד משלו, הוא יושב בתוך קהילה המורכבת לא רק מיזמים, אלא גם מעורכי דין, חברות קטנות, כתבים או כל מי שזקוק לחלל עבודה. המשמעות היא שבמידה ועורך הדין זקוק לעצה טכנולוגית, או שהיזם זקוק לעצה מעורך דין – הם יכולים להעזר אחד בשירותיו של השני, שכן הם יושבים דלת ליד דלת.
