6. Key
Challenges
• The Middle East is a center for trading and has been so for the last 50 odd years, the demand for
gaming software, hardware and accessories has driven the wholesale channel over time to build up
supply chains from all across the world.
• Stock is sourced from where ever it is available first before day one launch and where ever it is
cheapest after day one. Promotions and price drops anywhere in the world lead to stock coming in
to the MENA region immediately.
• With Emirates ,Etihad and Qatar airways building their networks steadily, stock can be in the GCC within
24 hours or less from any major city in the world.
• In order to combat this and maximize both our businesses it is key to be agile on pricing and promotions
as it is necessary to react to promotions in different parts of the world in order to protect the
business and block Grey/parallel imports
• Localizing product is one way to do that on particular sku’s, it is absolutely essential to protect the
MENA business by ensuring that this is the only territory that gets the Arabic language sku. This also
ensures that stock is easily identified if it leaves our territories.
8. Accessory to app-cessory
Gadgitech me is now evolving and is introducing new brands that are not only

9. Apple Reseller
Since 2005 Gadgitech me is an appointed Authorised Apple Reseller for the Region. We
are specialised in selling Apple products though the following channels: schools,
corporate institutions, independent retail entities.
10. Wholesale channel in KSA
The wholesale channel plays a large role in the Middle East, primarily in Saudi Arabia. This stems from an
underdeveloped retail sector coupled with other factors such as huge geographical size, remote locations
and traditional purchasing habits. About 70% of all gaming sales in KSA happens in the Wholesale/Indy
channel. Key retail like Jarrir, Extra superstore, Hyper Panda, Tokyo games and Computer house only
represent about 30% of the total gaming business in KSA.
Retail however is on the up. Chief among these growth factors are economic growth and retail landscape
development. KSA’s economy proved resilient during the global economic downturn, while disposable
income levels were further boosted by increased government spending and a new minimum wage level.
These trends encouraged stronger spending on retailing. We have seen strong investment in the country's
retail landscape, particularly in the form of shopping malls. This is helping to encourage a marked shift
from traditional to modern retailers and boosted retailing in general but at a slow pace.
11. Independents
The wholesale channel wouldn’t exist if it were not for the huge network of indies. As seen in the previous slide, 70% of all
gaming business in KSA goes through the wholesale/Indy channel. With this vast network of indies playing a key role,
Gadgitech Me puts a huge emphasis on servicing and monitoring them. Daily price checks across the territory, frequent
visits ensure business .
250+ indies across KSA 30+ major indies across Kuwait
30+ major indies across Qatar 10+ major indies across Bahrain
20+ major indies across UAE
Visits are split as daily, weekly, monthly (& half-yearly / yearly for the lesser independents).
KSA Indie Visit Frequency (Store Specific):
Daily 10 stores visits
Weekly 89 stores visits (These are independent of daily visits)
Monthly 120 stores visits (These are independent of weekly or monthly visits)
These numbers increase between 50-75% when including retail visits also.
