1. Students designed and fabricated a dual purpose gas-fired geyser that heats water and purifies it through distillation. 2. The design uses a copper coil running steam to both heat water in an elliptical water bowl and distill water in a water container. 3. Testing showed the device can produce 2 liters of distilled water per hour during hot mode and 0.6 liters per hour during pilot mode.
