2. WHAT IS GUIDANCE?
Guidance is one form of teaching.
Examples:
A mother guides her child in prayer.
A Teacher guides her pupils through 3Rs.
In shorty guidance or teaching can be given
by anybody, anytime, anywhere.
3. BASIS OF GUIDANCE
Desire to help others sometimes latent,
sometimes active, but the desire is there.
Human needs and desires
Around as are those conidtion and situation
which reflect wasted human energy, misspent
lives, misery, poverty, disaster, unecessart
loss of vocation, recreation, companions,
educational opportunities and wanting and
striving for something.
4. Even those who claime that they do not need
any help find that they need someone to talk
to, to ask for advice, in order to have an
outlet for their pent up emotions and feelings.

6. REACTIONS TO GUIDANCE
Those who consider themselves self
sufficient, will never accept assistance of
suggestions.
That’s why their feelings will be transfer to
other people as a burden.
Feeling unable to think for themselves
inclined to transfer some faults to others.
Attitudes will lead to unpleasant experiences
Our problems become complex, were getting
and adult and some of us are having
problems that arise in different situations
7. FUNCTIONS OF GUIDANCE
Guidance makes available all opportunities of
value to individuals.
Change of behavior for better.
His search for his own knowledge, recovery,
development.
Guidance don’t focus on problems but on
individuals devt.
Self understanding, self appraisal, self direction.
Theres no mass guidance, like theres no mass
education.
8. AREA OF SCOPE OF GUIDANCE
Because Guidance is education it is lifelong
process. It is operate whenever a child,
adolescent or adult helps in many ways.
Guidance is offer.
Attitudes of an elder may influence or
usconsciously affect those of the young, either
temporary or permanent.
For the Purpose of delimination there are three
specific areas covered by Guidance namely:
