FSAE-A Business Presentation - Redback Racing 2017Albert Chau
Formula SAE (F-SAE) is a student competition where students design and build a race car. Part of that competition is pitching the race car as part of a wider business to potential investors. I presented this at F-SAE Australasia 2017 for UNSW Redback Racing. Despite only having 2 weeks to prepare a presentation where other teams have an entire year, Redback Racing placed 4th in the presentation event, which is the best result Redback has had in 6 years.
For my Senior Design class, we built a formula style car and competed against 40 other schools from across the country. This presentation was for the design event where we had to "sell"our design to a group of mock investors describing our design\'s benefits.
Our third electric Formula SAE car has been designed by our students, thanks to Altair simulation about structural studies. In this way, the software help us building a racing car!

Ashwa Racing - History-Present-Future- 2014Ashwa RACING
Ashwa Racing has ventured into Combustion Formula style race car prototypes since 2003 until recently also diversified into developing Hybrid and Electric Formula style race car prototype. Key reason being to participate in the Hybrid category of the Formula Student SAE event. This being a strategy driven initiative which will help the team in expanding its technical expertise as well as being in tune with green technology requirements.
Moreover, ashwa Racing aspires to be a part of niche club of Indian teams participating in the Formula Hybrid event. The Hybrid event poses a great deal of challenges before the students, requiring a harmonious blend of both mechanical and electrical aspects of engineering to build a worthy prototype.
The Team works in a very organized manner just like an Industry and attaining standards of an International Formula Student Racing team and the team is structured in such a way so as to produce all round individuals and capable engineers .
A work in progress, Kimbrell Motorsports are running the NHRA Summit Bracket Challenge series. the proposal is still being upgraded as more information comes in from the team.
