Digital Commerce Lecture for Advanced Digital & Social Media Strategy at UCLA...Valters Lauzums
E-commerce in 2024 is characterized by a dynamic blend of opportunities and significant challenges. Supply chain disruptions and inventory shortages are critical issues, leading to increased shipping delays and rising costs, which impact timely delivery and squeeze profit margins. Efficient logistics management is essential, yet it is often hampered by these external factors. Payment processing, while needing to ensure security and user convenience, grapples with preventing fraud and integrating diverse payment methods, adding another layer of complexity. Furthermore, fulfillment operations require a streamlined approach to handle volume spikes and maintain accuracy in order picking, packing, and shipping, all while meeting customers' heightened expectations for faster delivery times.
Amid these operational challenges, customer data has emerged as an important strategy. By focusing on personalization and enhancing customer experience from historical behavior, businesses can deliver improved website and brand experienced, better product recommendations, optimal promotions, and content to meet individual preferences. Better data analytics can also help in effectively creating marketing campaigns, improving customer retention, and driving product development and inventory management.
Innovative formats such as social commerce and live shopping are beginning to impact the digital commerce landscape, offering new ways to engage with customers and drive sales, and may provide opportunity for brands that have been priced out or seen a downturn with post-pandemic shopping behavior. Social commerce integrates shopping experiences directly into social media platforms, tapping into the massive user bases of these networks to increase reach and engagement. Live shopping, on the other hand, combines entertainment and real-time interaction, providing a dynamic platform for showcasing products and encouraging immediate purchases. These innovations not only enhance customer engagement but also provide valuable data for businesses to refine their strategies and deliver superior shopping experiences.
The e-commerce sector is evolving rapidly, and businesses that effectively manage operational challenges and implement innovative strategies are best positioned for long-term success.
Videos are more engaging, more memorable, and more popular than any other type of content out there. That’s why it’s estimated that 82% of consumer traffic will come from videos by 2025.
And with videos evolving from landscape to portrait and experts promoting shorter clips, one thing remains constant – our brains LOVE videos.

making the semi -finals 2 out of 3 races. In 2013 we drove a mustang in the pro class

6. Marketing Opportunities that we can bring to you….
Imagine seeing the name of your business by hundreds of thousands, even millions of spectators. Seeing
the name of your business in a national publication as a supporter of one of the greatest racing sports in
America. The opportunities are endless and we have a package that will enhance your business.
Race car graphics: We will custom design a scheme which will include your company colors or logo.
There are limitless options to get the best visual exposure.
Transporter signage: The race car transporter acts as a rolling billboard with average mileage totaling
well over 15,000 miles a year. With the National Highway Association calculation of our major highways,
we can get an average of 31 views per mile. That is a total about half a million viewers on the highways
alone.
Personal Appearances: Arrange events for meet and greet opportunities with your customers at auto
shows, local attractions, grand openings, and trade shows. Ever want to bring more people to your booth
at a trade show? Nothing better than having a high performance race car in your booth, representing your
company.
7. The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), founded in 1951 by Wally Parks has been an ever expanding
racing community. Never forgetting the grassroots racers, the NHRA has built upon this base to include
faster, more exciting events that appeals to both men and women of all ages. There are over 22 million
Americans (age 12+) who are de-voted fans. (Top Box Interest ESPN Sports Poll)
The NHRA encourages family participation both as fans and as participants beginning with the Junior Drag
Racing League with racers as young as the age of eight to the most prestigious Full Throttle Series. When the
saying comes out, “there is something for everyone”, drag racing is the epitome of that statement.
Interaction is encouraged! Attending a race is a pure adrenaline rush with unprecedented speed and
sensory impact at any level.
NHRA drag racing is an open and accessible experience that’s shared with genuine people; the fans,
drivers and teams. It is one of the few sports where the fans are encouraged to interact with the drivers by
allowing access to the pit areas where they see the drivers and crew while they perform maintenance and
preparation for the races.

21. The car is a Chevy Monza with a full round tube chassis. The front of the car has actually been stretched 9
inches over factory to get a better weight distribution and increased driveability with the power it has. It is
powered by a 496 ci big block Chevy built by B&D Racing Engines in North Carolina. Fallowed by a TCI
Performance Powerglide and convertor into a Dana 60 rear axle dressed out with Mark Williams axles and
Wildwood 4 wheel disc brakes. The car ran a Consistent 5.72 all year on a conservative tune up on gas. I
have made several changes since and am going to run a brand new killer rons toilet injection setup on
methanol and am predicting 5.35-5.50s. The motor on gas made 835hp and is setup to run nitrous as well.
The car is NHRA/IHRA certified currently for a 8.50 1/4 mile I have a couple updates and I will be able to
recertify at a 7.50 with a few bars added.
The car will be displayed on the Kimbrell Racing website for our fans to follow, and ask questions.
We will be using all the social media available, like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.
We will have pictures, video and updates while traveling so all of our fans and sponsors will
have the very latest news, as it happens.
22. We hope you will join Kimbrell Racing on our quest.
If we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to call. We look forward to welcoming you into our
family.
