A Brief Exploration
Analyze Learner
The learners are a sixth grade social studies class. They will have
various levels of instruction as they are entering middle school
from various Elementary schools, the expectation is that they will
not have equal levels of understanding or knowledge on the
subject. I expect a class of mixed sexes with varying backgrounds
and lifestyles
Main Objective

This 6th grade class will illustrate detailed knowledge of the
historical lives of Native Americans, their cultural and traditional
beliefs, their current living conditions and overall struggles and
injustices by creating a group presentation with WebQuests and
Power Point, create relevant artifacts to accompany presentations,
they will use a class blog to express their feelings on the injustices
that Native Americans have suffered, they will create a short story
about a day in the life of a Native American and interject them
selves into the cast with 100% accuracy by the end of the week.
Day By Day
• Monday - Overall Native American education regarding various
North American Regions.
• Tuesday-Closer look at culture and traditions of Native
American Tribes
• Wednesday- Injustices the Native Americans have suffered as a
result of colonialism and European Settlement
• Thursday Current living conditions of the American Indians
• Friday- Reflections and group project presentation
