How much exercise do I need?
 For children and young adults, it is recommended that we
reach 60 minutes of aerobic activity every day.
 3 days a week should include anaerobic, muscle building,
activities.
 Remember, walking can also count as physical activity. Shoot
for 10,000 steps per day

How to get the best workout
possible
 Target heart rate
(220-age) x 70%
Example: 30 years old
220-30=190 x 70%=133
I want my heart to beat 133 times per minute while I’m working
out.

What’s the best way to loose
weight?
 The best way to loose weight is to burn more calories than
you put in your body.
 Your daily intake of calories should be around 2000
depending on how active you are.
-carbs, proteins , fats
 Combining diet and exercise will give you the best results.

  1. Cardio=ability of body to supply oxygen to lungs Muscle strenght=anount of strength or force muscles can exert against heavy weight Muscle endurance= how long muscles can work Flexibility=how much muscles will lengthen Body composition= amount of fat compared to muscle
  2. Muscles need oxygen to keep working. When oxygen is gone from the muscles, they begin to have a build up of acid called lactic acid. This is why your muscles burn when you are doing exercises, especially anaerobic exercises.
  3. The sixty minutes does not have to be intense physical activity. It can include a brisk walk, or a jog, but vigorous activity should be limited to only 3 days per week to avoid overworking the muscles. Can be broken up -20 min, 20min, 20 min.
  4. Find your resting heart rate. Under the corner of your jaw bone, or on the underside of your wrist
  5. If you are active, then your body will need more calories. A Calorie is a unit of energy. Most of the calories in your diet will come from carbohydrates. Carbs are what supply your body with energy, but unused cafbs turn into sugar. Protien should supply the next most, the least should come from fat.

  7. Type two diabetes is when the body stops producing insulin. This is the reason that you have to give yourself insulin shots and continuously check your blood sugar levels. It is caused by poor diet and lack of exercise. It costs the country over 147 billion dollars in health costs every year and can lead to amputations due to lack of blood circulation. One out of ten children will develop type two diabetes.
