Narrative- Informative documentary looking at social networking sites and how they impact on society – positively or negatively?- Interviewing users and non-users of social networking sites – how does using/non-using these sites effect them? How does it effect society as a whole?
Audience- Primary audience: 15- 25 year olds, both male and female. Who use social networking sites regularly - Secondary audience: Parents of teenagers, people who aren’t familiar with social networking sites…- Mainstream audience: social networking is becoming more and more popular so the topic of documentary is suited for a broad audience.
Distribution/Scheduling- Broadcast on BBC3, channel aimed at the target audience of my documentary. - Trailers of documentary on the BBC website, reaching a wider audience- Broadcast weekday evenings, when target audience are home from school/college/uni, around 7pm- Adverts shown on BBC3 all week and radio trailers on Radio 1 and Radio1Xtra, these radio stations target audience suit my documentary as they are likely to use social networking sites themselves.
