This document describes a knit composite textile factory in Bangladesh. It was established in 1997 and employs over 6,500 people. It produces knitted garments for export markets in Europe and the USA. To improve conditions, a Supplier Qualification Project was implemented through a Change Management Team consisting of staff and workers. They received training and made improvements such as upgrading infrastructure, implementing safety measures, and providing healthcare and bonuses for employees. This resulted in benefits like reduced worker migration and absenteeism as well as fewer injuries.
