 From seed-The fibers which are obtained the seed of the
plants are called seed fibers.
 COTTON- cotton is a soft fibers that grows around the seeds of
the cotton plant. Cotton fibers grows in the seed pod or boll of
the cotton plant.
 KAPOK- kapok is a silky fiber that encloses the seeds of kapok
trees and the colour is yellowish or light brown with a silk like
luster.

 Wool- wool is obtained from sheep and other animals,
including goats, cashmere, rabbits etc. Wool fiber is the
natural hair grown on sheep and is composed of protein
as karatin.
 Silk- silk is an animal fiber made from the secretion of
silkworms and it is the strongest of all natural fibers.

Manmade
fibers
Fibers that are not naturally present in nature and are made
artificially by mam. Manmade fibers have high strength,
Strong when wet low moisture absorption characteristics.
Regenerated
manmadefiber
Regenerated fibers is creating by dissolving the cellulose
area of plant fiber in chemicals and making it into fiber again
by melt spinning process.
 Cupramonium
 Nitrocellulose
 Viscose Rayon
SyntheticFibers
 Synthetic fibers arew manmade fibers, most of them are
preapered from raw material petroleum called
petrochemicals. These fibers made by humans through
chemical synthesis.
 Nylon
 Polyester
 Acrylic
 Polypropylene
