SAMPLE MATERIALS
• Font for masthead - I have chosen this font for the
name of my magazine because it is very big and
outstanding, catching the readers attention
I have chosen this font for my Coverline as it is very easy
to read, this is important as this text will be very small in
the double page spread,
I have chosen this font for the name of the artist i will be
featuring as it is very very big and bold, as this will be on
the top of the double page spread, it needs to be able to
catch the attention of the reader
COLOUR SCHEME.
• The colour scheme of my magazine is going to be bright and vibrant colours,
• the colours that i will be using are red, white, blue and black.
• The reason why i am using black to counter the bright colours as black is very
commonly used in Jazz magazines as it fits the very smooth and calming tone
of the music itself,
•
• A USP of mine is that, during my research , the leading magazines use the
same
COMPETITION
• As there are not many Jazz magazines that target the younger
audience, my USP is that i am one of the only Jazz magazines
target ages 18-24 age group,
• The main magazines in the industry are Jazzwise and Jazztimes.
•
