2. First Idea
For my first idea I wanted
to feature evidence of the
murders taking place in
the film, the newspaper
and feature a rip in the
page, revealing the face
of our protagonist.
Inspiration for my first idea
4. First Draft
• When creating my
first draft I
recreated the
newspaper title we
used in the film to
create a
background for the
poster

• I then attempted to create the rip in the
page, my attempt at this seemed to
amateurish and cheesy so I ultimately
replaced this with a polaroid photograph of
the suspect.

Feedback
• Doesn’t away the
ending
• Hints at the premise
• Establishes context
• More like a Teaser
Poster
• No Tagline
• No Production
Credits

8. 2nd Idea
• For my second idea I
wanted to feature
both of my actors,
mimicking traditional
film noir posters but
use a background
image rather than a
colour to a appeal to
a more modern
audience.
9. 2nd Idea cont…
• I wanted to create a
disconnect between
the characters by
creating a visible
distance, I aimed to
achieve this by having
one character in black
and white and the
other in colour.
13. Final Product
Feedback
• Doesn’t away the
ending
• Hints at the premise
• Establishes context
• The Production
Credits are quite
hard to read.
• The white around
her hair could be
cut out to make it
look more real.

15. Final Product Cont…
• I chose my second draft to become my
final product as I felt it was more
appropriate for our target audience, more
successfully communicated the premise
and genre of our film and is more
conventionally similar to real film posters
