3. FIDIC
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (commonly known as FIDIC
acronym for its French Name Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils),
international standards organization for construction technology and consulting
engineering.
FIDIC standardizes contracts that are commonly used in the global construction and
engineering industry, primarily for international construction projects, which have a higher
value and are authorized by many multilateral development banks.

1. Red Book - based on conventional system
2. Yellow Book - based on design construction system
3. Silver Book - based on EPC ( Engineering, Procurement, Construction system)
FIDIC has a mission of representing consulting engineering globally, including through promoting the
interests of companies, organizations and engineers who provide technology-based services. The
organization arranges several seminars and training courses, including the World Consulting
Engineer Conference.
5. CEAI
Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI) is the apex body of consulting
engineers in India having membership of organizations as well as individuals. The
membership represents large, medium and small consultancy companies / organizations
both in the private and public sector and eminent individual consultants.
CEAI was incorporated in 1996, with the merger of two leading national associations:
1. Association of Consulting Engineers (1960).
2. National Association Consulting Engineers (1976).
